Today is the buyer's inspection. Why am I so nervous? I didn't sleep well in anticipation. I know they will find things I don't know about, that's their job. Ugh.

The Sedona real estate agent still hasn't called me back. I think I need to call another one. I started making a moving list and I need an Arizona address. Maybe a PO Box and forward it? But a driver's license requires a physical address, right? Lots to figure out.

Food is awful. I really am eating my stress. Ugh.

Anyway, off to start the day. I hope you all have a good one!

I think nerves are understandable. Well, at least I am the same way - wondering what the new inspector will find and what the buyers will come back wanting....

I was already awake getting ready to get up to bottle feed Dottie's pups, when shortly after 5 am there was a nice 4.1 earthquake. It awakened Ron. He stressfully asked, "What was that?" I answered calmly, "Earthquake." He relaxed and said, "Oh...." Then pulled out his phone to see how strong it was! We Californians don't think twice about the little shakers.... LOL! FYI - a 4.1 is a good shake and you can also "hear" it. Honestly, there is a rumble from the earth that is really quite eerie if you don't know what it is.

My eating is pretty okay this week considering I am still tired and somewhat stressed. I am slightly below my red line weight, which is good. Will keep on doing what I'm doing for now and see where that gets me.

I am watching a humming bird feed from my Monkey Paw flowers in the garden. Pretty to watch.

Have to go to my dad's and help him set up his new Jitterbug Smartphone. I pray this one is easier for him to deal with than his iPhone.

Not much else.....

Haha! I tense up for the first couple of seconds, then if it doesn't get any worse, I roll over and go back to sleep!

I've only experienced one significant earthquake: I was in Napa in 2014 when everything rocked and rolled our first night there. Scared the heck out of us!

I started packing for Aruba today - I definitely have too much but still less than usual. The problem is not knowing what kind of places we will eat out at night which dictates shorts, skirts or a nice dress. I am greatly reducing my usual shoe inventory.

I had a phone meeting with my new Florida lawyer about our postnuptial agreement. The draft by Mike's lawyer needs a couple of tweaks which Mike agrees with and we are all set. I also need to update my will, Durable POA and Health Care POA. Lots of legal stuff to attend to but the postnup is the most important to make sure that Florida inheritance law doesn't override our wishes should one of us die.

Right now we are on the way to meet Mike's sisters for dinner. Last time before Aruba! I can't wait for Sun and Warmth.

Have a thankful Thursday!

Good Morning All

Popping in much earlier this morning as I got to work a little after 6am and am making great headway. My boss is off sick till Thursday after a medical procedure so I wanted to get in early and run payroll before the zoo started as its my first time. It went well and I have the teams dispatched to their jobs. Scheduling for next week is done too :) Love an organised start to the morning

Picking up the grandbabies on the way home this afternoon as we are having them stay at the farm Fri & Sat nights - we will bring them home Sunday. Im looking forward to it lots. We will bake brownies for their mums birthday and they can make a card for her. Its her birthday Sunday. The weekend will be busy with Vaccination boosters for the calves, then 2 of the steers are being "processed" The boys and I will be elsewhere when that happens. DH has a dinner Sat night and Im looking forward to movies snugged in bed with the grandbabies.

Cec - You have so much going on! Stress levels are rightly high. Its going to be a whirlwind for the next few months. Lean on and accept ANY offers of help ok. My eating would be exactly the same!

Peps - Isnt it funny how we condition ourselves and accept a new norm with things that happen regularily. I hope you get a little time to rest this upcoming weekend

Liz - You are super organised. I am in awe of you x Hope the finalising goes well and bet you can almost feel that sun on your skin. Please send some over here !

DD- Hope you are doing well after your booster

Diane S - Is it this weekend DH goes away and the great toss happens he he he If so May the force be with you - plus a little bit of stealth mode :)

Love to you all - I doubt I will make it back on over the weekend as those grandbabies keep nanna running. I want to tap into their energy levels!

The first time I saw a steer go down with an air gun, it was quite a shock, and I was 12, so good on you for keeping the grandkids away. Other famous firsts I never forgot: a horse being castrated, cattle dehorning and pulling a calf.

The less pleasant side of farming huh DD. I process it with the rational that we care and nuture our animals, ensuring they have everything they need. I have much respect that they give their life in order to feed us and Im thankful.

I have been there for calf pulling - as I am with everything. I watched the mobile butchers at the previous farm to ensure in my mind that our animals didnt suffer. That is very important to me. My grandbabies will be sheltered from that for a long time. The eldest already understands our meat comes from the farm but to me thats very different as opposed to having to process that visually.

Greetings all

I am sitting here drinking a mini coke. A small indulgence. For some reason when I do a lot of errands I think I deserve a coke. I had to go to a different CVS to get a prescription because the nearby one was out. Wish they had texted me that. But they sent it to the one in Target so I bought other stuff. Several other stops plus a studio visit at which time I made a small bunny. Such a productive day LOL.

Earthquake Peps! We didn't get any here. Hope the pups are doing well and you can get some rest. Two weeks to food in a dish? Tee Tee then the real rock and rolling begins.

There were crows in the Target parking lot. I noticed one sitting on top of a STOP sign holding a cheeto in its mouth. It seemed like some kind of cosmic message to me: stop eating junk food.

CC hope the inspection is going well. Seems like those things are never what you expect. Hope thing go smoothly. Why does stress always make some of us want to eat? I have heard that there are people who, during times of stress, want to go exercise or pull weeds in the garden. Why am I not one of those? Answer: because some things cant be fixed by weeding

DH just came home with two pot pies. I already got one. So pie tonight!

Does anyone besides me hate wearing shoes? I really hate them. so there.

Cheers all. Diane S

I am usually stocking foot or barefoot at home. It's always a sad day in the fall when I have to switch to close toed shoes. I love my various sandals, especially my Tevas, and I hate closed toe shoes.
