Seems like summer today. Scrabble was fun even though I only won one game. Bad strategic moves on my part.

Studio buddy is over here having DH help her set up her new iBook air or whatever it is called. This has been going on for several hours. She is a person who says everything out loud as she goes through the process. Drives me nuts but its only for awhile. Wine needed. Plus she and DH have these endless discussions about stuff that sounds like Who's on First.

I did get the payroll for the studio taken care of. The studio is a different place from the gallery and different cast of characters. Different needs. Different neuroses. Guess I am having a cranky day.

DD thanks for the reference to The Staircase.. We started it last night. So grateful for a show with no exploding aliens.

We will likely see the new Top Gun though I don't care that much for action movies. I like weird stuff but have not seen Everywhere Everything whatever.

CC glad you have some good house action. I agree to adjusting price rather than undertake a lot of projects unless you are able to do them yourself.

Plotting and planning for DH trip and how I am going to get all his junk out of the closet etc. Tee Tee.

Today my mother would have been 77. Friday my dad would have been 100. Makes me feel old, which is what I in fact am.

The staircase: I think the central character, Michael, is charismatic against all odds. He's not particularly handsome, or funny, but it would seem the camera loves him. Now DH disagrees, he couldn't stand him, and kept saying, he must be guilty because he's so annoying.

If you like weird, I adored The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. Everything Everywhere was a step too far for me.

Top Gun made me want to be a fighter pilot. Even as a 14 year old girl! Fun to see a woman pilot in this one.

Hello All

First day of winter here and its soooo cold. Was snowing earlier near the farm by all reports. Time to dust off the thermals I think as we are giving the calves their boosters on Saturday. Also have 2 Steers going to the butcher. One we are giving to our neighbours and the other we will split with DSD and her partner.

I am picking up our grandbabies on Friday night on the way home from work and they are coming to the farm with us. First time we will have them for a sleep over on their own and this Nanna is excited. I will take them for a drive when the steer is being "done" as I don't want them to see that. The older one understands where our meat comes from and I feel that is sufficient at their young age... DH disagrees but I have dug my heels in firmly. Dont mess with a protective nanna bear - hes a slow learner sometimes :)

I have like most of Victoria have been battling a cold thing. It got me last Thursday evening and my boss sent me home from work on Friday - I took Monday off as well. Its slowly easing and Im back at work. Wearing a mask when the rest of the team is in so as not to share germs....Just a matter of waiting patiently for my body to deal with the infection and bani****

Liz - sounds like your reception plans are coming along fabulously. And only 4 days till Aruba - please send me a parcel of sunshine !

DD - Hope you are ok after your 4th booster. I had my flu shot around 2 weeks ago and had a mild 24 hr reaction for the first time.

Diane S - Clean outs are good. I spent Monday pulling my gift cupboard apart and allocating presents. Plus wrapping and carding them. I have a huge chunk of the rest of this years birthdays done and am well on the way for Christmas. Also did a stocktake of all the clothes etc as I grab stuff when its on sale and squirrel away - this is good ONLY when you remember its there and use it ha ha ha - hence the list

Peps - I send you rest and sleep vibes as I can only imagine how busy your house is with so many puppies. They are off scale cute !

Well I had best keep moving. Motivation isnt up there today. I feel another cup of tea coming :) Gotta stay warm right
