We want puppies we want puppies we want puppies (to quote Diane S)!!!

In less than 2 weeks we will be in Aruba. Other than the flight time, Aruba is a super relaxing vacation. Not much to do but swim, take walks, and go out to eat.

The pollen here is working it's way to the usual stratospheric spring levels a bit early this year. There is usually a point where there is a yellow haze. Even people not allergic have to blow their noses a lot!

I hope CC has great luck in selling the house (I am sure she will). I think more and more about selling the one on Cape Cod especially when I contemplate not even being here much this summer.

Cutting back on food went well during the day yesterday, but then we met friends for dinner. I didn't eat a lot, but I'm sure there were still quite a few calories. I had the Fairlife caramel protein drink for lunch yesterday and really liked it! Maybe that will help???

Have a marvelous Monday!

I think I've lapsed into a post-cleaning/organizing coma. All the pictures are done. I can't wait to see them! I always struggle to take pictures of rooms. Probably not the right lenses or eye for photo composition... the sign is up in front of my house. Eek! My real estate agent thinKs we'll be in escrow by the first week of June. We'll see. I worry interest rates and the stock market decline will affect people wanting to spend this kind of money on a house, but who knows. Most of the buyers in my area are Chinese citizens and seem to have lots of cash from there not tied to our economy.

I have no plans today. Yay! Just enjoying my spotless space for the moment. Actually I have a throw pillow to repair. The fabric split near a seam, but I really like it and want to save it. And I have a Goodwill load in the car to dispose of.

So that's all I've got!

Pups are doing well. All 11 are gaining weight, which is magnificent considering Dinah is a brand new mom with no experience. She is obviously very cautious with them and worries about squishing them. Such a good quality in a dam with a large litter. Some dams don't give a rats ass about lying down with pups in the box. Dinah gets in and tries to get them in a pile and then will lie down around the pile. It's very sweet to watch. However, when the pups are not cooperating, I help her out and put them in a pile. I can see she's relieved when I do this. It's charming how we have a working relationship with the care of the pups.

Dottie held off going into labor, so I am at school today enjoying our annual "teacher for the day". My "teacher for the day" is a student who is all about fun, so we've not done to much other than computer work and watched part of a movie. Luckily, we had an assembly in the middle of the day to break up the "teacher for the day" chaos.

Hoping Dottie goes into labor this afternoon and has a quick deliver tonight. If wishes were horses.....

Sending "bring on more puppies" vibes your way! That has to be such an amazing experience watching them come into the world that never get old!

Greetings

sun and wind. a little studio time and errands. DH went out to lunch and brought home fish and chips. Dinner tonight.

CC I totally get how you can be in post home improvement coma. I am in post moving to California coma even though that was 20 years ago. Rest up and get ready for the offers to roll in!

Peps we are wishing you an early evening delivery. And so glad to hear the others are thriving and gaining weight. I was thinking today about what if you had to supplement any pups. There could be a run on goat milk due to the baby formula shortage. I also wondered if the puppy formula comes from the same makers that the baby stuff does. Anyway, I hope this is not an issue.

I have had to put my "mini" foot brace back on. but it sure does help. Might be long term.

Not much else. Roasted vegetables may wait a night. Cooking sucks.

Good Morning All

I am trying to make it here more regularily. I feel so bad when my days just fly by and I havent popped in.......

Had a busy weekend with family, dinner date with DH before he flew to Brisbane Sunday afternoon. He is home again Thursday night for the weekend then down at Anglesea following Monday - Friday. We had Nephew and Niece plus their gorgeous 14 mth son who due to COVID we hadnt met. All our family came - so I had 14 for dinner Sunday. BIL, SIL and another nephew for lunch as well so my weekend involved a lot of cooking. It was nice to spend time with them all.

Work is busy and we lost a staff member. So I have the job advertisements back up. Hoping for some quality applications. I am heading off for a cut and colour tonight which always makes me feel much better. So life is good - eating could be a whole lot better and I am avoiding the scales like the plague - need to take the plunge and deal with that number........ My 5th Anniversary is next month and I always promised myself I wouldnt let the wheels fall off......

Liz - Aruba sounds like bliss. Cant wait to see the sand sculptures :)

CC - Enjoy being still - you so deserve it after a huge effort to get your house ready for sale. My wish for you is to be drowning in fabulous offers

Peps - I love reading about your bond with your treasured dogs. Total trust and love from them. Fingers crossed for Dottie to whelp very soon and it to go beautifully. I can only imagine the lack of sleep you are getting at the moment. 11 is a big litter :) With more treasures on the way. So exciting

Diane S - Sorry to read Das Boot is back :( Hugs

DD - Hello :)

Well I had best get my butt into gear and keep going with this to do list. Its a big one today

Have a wonderful evening all xx
