It is gray again this morning but is supposed to brighten up and get quite warm this weekend (90 inland and mid to high 70's here on Cape Cod). Yesterday we had an extremely lovely drive from my financial advisors office to the restaurant we met friends at for dinner before a show. Google Maps took us all back roads for the 1.5 hours it took to get there and it was a beautiful drive through eastern Massachusetts. I always forget how much more beautiful it is here than Florida. Florida may have great beaches but no lush, windy roads with historic homes here and there.

Mike is golfing this morning and tomorrow for his first time with his golf buddies. They have summer memberships at a club about 45 minutes from here and try to golf at least a couple of times a week. I will probably get together with my SILs later this morning as one is staying with the other for the weekend.

Things are progressing for our August wedding party. We meet with the cake person on Tuesday and with the manager at the restaurant venue to pick out food. I need to set something up with the DJ but that's more or less all that remains to be done.

Time to get more coffee. Have a super Saturday!

Well done on the party planning! What a wonderful time you're going to have. I agree, Massachusetts is quite beautiful. Upstate New York is amazing too, it was a such a surprise the first time we drove through on a road trip.

Very relaxed evening yesterday. This morning, DH is at work. He only has a few more weekends to work. Its hard to wrap my head around the fact that after June 18, he will no longer work any evenings or weekends. I've been arranging our life and plans around his work schedule for more than 30 years.

I am going to go shopping and run some errands in a little bit here. We have tickets for Moulin Rouge tomorrow evening. We'll probably go out to dinner, so I should balance that out by making dinner tonight. :)

Back from shopping with a few things to refresh my wardrobe. After some blissful warm and sunny days, a cold front blew in, and it is overcast with a high of 53. I haven't planted any flowers yet, but maybe it's for the best, as there are freeze warnings and tender plants will need to be covered.

Breathing and resting break!

The pictures got moved up to tomorrow morning, so I've been purging and tidying like a crazy woman. The craft room, I'm thrilled to say is clean (picture Zelda Rubinstein from Poltergeist saying this please). And get this! I was giving away an adjustable table for a sewing machine on NextDoor and this woman who lives a few blocks from me said she's love to have it. Then she sent me a picture of it set up with her sewing machine and said if I have any other crafty items to purge to let her know.

WELL, KIM...! So now I have 6 boxes of ribbon, yarn, fancy scissors, craft rulers, etc for her out front to pick up. She is teaching her 11 year old neighbor to craft and they are also learning to crochet. So I told her I was reeling with joy that someone was going to appreciate my things as opposed to them going to Goodwill. She said she was too! Absolutely made my day.

Anyway, I should get back to it...

I was thinking how much she was blessing me! She brought me a balloon arrangement as a thank you! She makes them... so cute

Perfect way to clean out stuff and have it put to use by someone pleased to have it!

Another sinfully beautiful day here. I made the phone call this morning to my friends who are coming to visit to tell them they will be at the Holiday inn and they didn't seem to mind. Good call as my friend is using a walker and our dogs would be horrific on that.

Speaking of dogs, how many do you have now Peps with all the pups!!

I did a few errands for the gallery and got my favorite coffee from CVS. Prices really are going up!

CC big score for you on the craft stuff. Isn't it great when someone wants your things and they don't have to go into the black hole of the thrift shop.

DD so glad your husband can slow down. I bet he is a person who will enjoy that time and not one of those guys who can't figure out what to do.

Liz the drives sound great. I used to wonder why old people liked to go on drives but now I get it.

I must start thinking about better eating. I feel crappy and look crappy. One of these days....
