A gray possibly showery day today, but it is supposed to be very warm this weekend - possibly even beach warm!
So cutting back on eating isn't going great. I met SIL for lunch yesterday by the water after my cut and color. Fun to catch up! Then DS wanted to go out after enjoying golfing with DH. We had food but went again because he wanted us to. When I was going to bed DS gave me a big hug and said it was a very good day.
This afternoon we are meeting Mike's sisters (my newer SILs) for dinner. Tough getting back and thinking we are going to cut back on eating. Maybe next week???
The hair came out well by the way. Maybe a bit shorter than I expected because I want to grow it out somewhat, but the shape and color are much improved.
Time to think about what is on the agenda today. Have a safe and healthy Thursday!

In the home stretch for painting. He thinks they'll finish tomorrow. Thank goodness! I've never been more exhausted by an activity I'm not involved in!
My neck bruises look a bit like hickeys. ha!
Today is more tidying/staging, but I'm procrastinating with word puzzles this morning.
Hope everyone is well!
Greetings all
AWOL yesterday. It was a busy day for me. Gallery duty. A recently widowed friend lives near the gallery so I invite her to come over and chat as often I sit there alone. I think she is lonely so we had a lot of fun talking about wierd food from our early lives, local politics, why some people are dumb, why the city is tearing up the streets, how to get her grandson to visit, and on and on. It was very fun. We will make it a habit. I did sell a few things and visitors come in so we advise them on restaurants and view location. I was thinking about how our gallery is a microcosm for most any group of people - some are sweet, some are bossy, some are negative, some are positive etc. She is originally from the East coast and told me about something called "Tasty Cakes". Anyone ever eat those? I never heard of them.
Then I brought a pizza home so our evening was set. We were out of rice so I had to make cream of rice cereal for our old dog as part of his dinner. He eyed it suspiciously but eventually loved it.
Sping is in full swing here. The rhododendrons and azaleas are in serious overdrive this year and are so intense it almost looks fake. Ditto the poppies and scotch broom. And yeah DD I think we also have a maple that makes helicopters but they are not so bad so maybe its a lazy tree. Spring always seems so full of possibilities.
Liz glad your DS and Mike are getting along. And a whole new crop of SILs . That was one cool thing for me in getting married as I got three sisters and I never had any.
I really need a haircut too. I look like a shaggy sheep dog. My hairdo is not very structured so just gets chopped off once in awhile. The last salon I visited was not great. I really don't like sitting in the salon. Boring. BTW, does anyone else thing these new elaborate claw like fake fingernails are icky? They look more like talons on a bird of prey.
Take care all. More pizza tonight. Diane s
Interesting how a gallery becomes a social gathering place. I never knew!
I also had no sisters by birth so have loved gathering them by marriage.
And yes clawlike nails are gross IMO. I keep my nails natural though I do paint my toenails as my feet are ugly. And I do it myself as I hate sitting for a pedicure as much as you hate sitting for a haircut LOL.

Ha, those newly in fashion talons are indeed weird. I love getting my haircut, because I always feel fresh and renewed. I like pedicures most of the time, if I'm going in after work, its kind of heavenly to sit in the big cushy chair and close my eyes for a bit.. I used to wear reasonable length acrylic nails, but I stopped because getting them done was the most boring thing ever.
