It is beautiful here in central Massachusetts with all the trees budding and blooming. Cape Cod probably won't get to that point for a couple of weeks but we will see when we get there tomorrow.
We had a great get-together with DD, DS, DD's BF, and some of her other friends. We ate at a great restaurant on a lake. DS was really wonderful with Mike and I. And I met the BF's mother and brother. They really love my daughter (as do we of course). The dog stayed there last night and will tonight as well. A nice break for him from traveling and sleeping in hotel rooms alone when we go out.
Time to take a shower and get our act together. We leave here by 11 to drive to Albany NY. There is a cookout with Mike's family tonight, then a 1st Communion tomorrow morning.
Have a safe and healthy Saturday!

Two windows are fixed! Did I mention I broke a second one? A boy genius who owns his own company did what the owner of the other window company I contacted said couldn't be done. He started working with his dad when he was a teenager and now is in his 20s with his own company. I asked why all these windows that are never used are breaking and his explanation made so much sense. He said double hung windows are under tension when they are closed, so some of these in rooms that don't get much use have been under tension for much of the last 16 years. Once you open them, the mechanisms give out and won't shut.
The painting carries on. Big house. But while I was having moments of doubt about the color yesterday because the difference from the old is stark, the more they paint, the better it looks. It really stands out from all the other houses on the street that are 50 shades of early 2000s CA tract house earth tones.
The white is the new:
That's all I've got. Hope you all are having good weekends!
Greetings all
The sun is out and I have a list of things to do. Seems like something always foils my best intentions like checking on some tax stuff for the gallery only to find that their web site is down for maintenance.
Second task is to begin getting the guest room ready in case brother actually ever shows up here. I looked in there and DH has many boxes of crap in there . I just started carrying them out and that guilt tripped him into moving some. But I don't see anyway to keep all this crap without a storage unit. Makes me crazy.
I will also be gluing wine stoppers. Tossing stuff.
Chili tonight.
CC the new color looks great. Makes sense about the windows. Love hearing your home progress stories.
I just learned there is a women's art juried art show in the late summer for women artists in our county. I might enter something made years ago. The show is sponsored by the trust of a deceased woman who died years ago. She went out to paint in the forest, fell and was badly injured and died from exposure and wrote out her will on a road map. A heartbreaking story.
Not much else. Time for some tuna salad.
