Food tracking and weight. Yep, I always lose when I track and rarely when I don't. Once I get "on the wagon" of losing weight I fell enthusiastic about all the tools. Obviously I haven't been so inclined for a while now. How to jumpstart that!?!?
CC, deceased DH and I lived in our Central Massachusetts home for 20 years. It had a brand-new kitchen which the prior owners put in for resale. I hated it as it had Formica cabinets and modern drop-lights totally out of character for a reproduction New England Cape. We finally redid it so we could sell and I had my dream kitchen for all of 2 years.
We are in Nashville! We had a great Cajun and BBQ meal last night with a duo singing and stopped 3 more places to listen to music. Amazing!!! Today will likely be more of the same. What a place! BTW, we are at a Hyatt "Boutique" hotel. Quite nice, great location, quite a bit less expensive than other places, and dog friendly.
I heard from my friends with the hospitalized son yesterday. Another surgery went well for him - they are putting his bones back together a bit at a time so they don't stress his body so much. Every time I see a motorcycle now I think of how devastating an accident on one can be.
Time to drink more coffee. Have a safe and healthy Wednesday!

Lots of painting prep yesterday. More taping today and maybe stucco spraying. I took another load to Goodwill and am packing up some breakable antiques I no longer want for the Assistance League. Those I'll take over today.
Off in a bit for a Covid test for my thyroid biopsy Tuesday. Then working on polishing out the etching on my travertine marble bathroom floor where the cleaning people keep spilling acidic cleaning produc****er on it and leaving etched spill marks you can see if the light hits it just so. I got some stuff that buffs it out, but it requires elbow grease. I started last night, so at least I'm encouraged it works! And more tidying needed all over to be ready for photography.
And food wasn't awful yesterday, but I can do better!
Can you tell me what it is if it works out? I have the same problem on one of my bathroom floors.

Yes! It's working. https://stoneproonline.com/product/natural-touch-etch-remove r-8-ounce/
It's the consistency of Soft Scrub. You put a dollop down and rub in circles with a microfiber cloth and it polishes it up. So far I've worked out two can rings where they set down cleaner and a shoe print when they walked through cleaner.
Greetings all
Sorry to be AWOL for two days. I just get distracted - easily. Yesterday was the puppy party! Two of the puppies visiting us and our puppy Poppy. It was great fun. Started out with Chip having pooped on the front mat and I didn't notice until after I had opened the door thus smearing it across the floor! Oh well. Pups had a great time. Walter the pup is well trained but kind of a barker. He and Sassy had a great time playing. Poppy was a little hesitant about the dog games but finally got into tug of war. Old Chip had a great time just being in the middle of the fray. All the dogs did a lot of galloping around our overgrown back yard. Lots of pictures taken but most are a blur.
So I was tired out from all that puppy energy and made mac and cheese from a box for dinner. Not so healthy. I need to return to better habits such as Protein First. Carbs have become my issue more than sweets. Bread, pasta, potatoes. The trinity of weight gain. But I am grateful I no longer go to an office or school were donuts rule. Our studio used to have baked goods and treats a lot but covid kind of put a stop to that.
Peps you and all are right about the need to track food. I did well too for years while I tracked food. Then I stopped I think due to drinking wine. Big mistake.
DH just took a covid test - the ones sent by the government. Negative. I think he just wanted to see how the test kit worked.
Liz Nashville sounds like fun. Live it up and take in the live music.
CC we so admire all your home improvement efforts. Polishing marble! Kudos. And yeah any metal stuff gets damaged outside. Up here everything rusts. Our outdoor fixtures are high density plastic.
Not much planned today. I have to run up to the gallery to pick up $$ and take it to the bank. And I need to formulate a dinner plan. Preferably a healthy one.
Cheers all.

I chuckled at old Chip. Kind of like old us.

He types with a Trader Joe's chocolate truffle melting in his mouth. Oh, lord! LOL
I am really tired today. Even though I have a new alarm clock, i have not yet set it up. I need to. My snooze is not working on my 20 year old clock and for the second time in two weeks I really over slept. Luckily, it is a late start day and I was not late for students, but officially 10 minutes late for school.... So I missed a bit of prep time.
I had a good workout yesterday. My chest is going to be nice and sore later today. I can already tell.
Weird dreams last night.
CC, are you going to list your house soon? You mentioned photos being taken??????
Liz, safe journeys. Where to after Nashville?
Diane S. Puppy party sounds like fun. Sorry about the smeary poop! Been there far too many times.
DD., Glad the cold is almost gone. When I came up on 10 years I had a lot of feels and thoughts about WLS. I still do, but I am gradually more and more comfortable with my thoughts and feelings. That said, knowing what I know now about myself, I can say that I am much more prepared to have WLS now than I was in 2011. I think If I had WLS with the knowledge and self awareness I have today, my long term result would be very different. But such is not the case. It is what it is.
