Happy Cinco de Mayo! Strangely there are very few places celebrating here. We probably won't go to the one local Mexican place having a "party".

5 days from now we will be on the road heading north. It always seems to come too fast! I like the warmth here and don't like going back to cooler weather but I have things to get done before we leave for Aruba in early June.

Mike seems better with his cold though it will take a while for the congestion to subside. Luckily it isn't COVID.

Time to do our 3 mile walk. Have a safe and healthy Thursday!

Argh! This cold is taking me down. I woke up at 8 and laid in bed until in 10:30am, I couldn't muster up the energy to even look for the remote for the tv. I made myself get up at 11am to drink something. Don't think I will be going to work tomorrow either.

Woke up from my nap, and while surfing the internet, I saw an ad for Viking Cruise line, some select river cruises for $1,999 plus free airfare. These things always have a catch, right. After much digging around, I did discover we could get a Rhine cruise for this price, with airfare from Minneapolis, on a week we could definitely go. (No balcony though, only a window) For real. I showed it to DH. He is very hesitant since we are already committed to Boston, and we just bought flights to Charlston the end of August (we had a companion ticket to use). And because he will not be working this summer... He is right, but really, roundtrip flights from Minneapolis, and an 8 night cruise for $4,000 for two. I'm like kid with my face pushed up against the candy store window :)
