It feels weird to be done with my former Port Charlotte home. Everything went extremely smoothly and we were back in Vero by 1:30. I felt quite letdown and exhausted last night so I went to bed by 9. I am better this morning.
Today we have an appointment with a lawyer to do a postnuptial agreement. Since Mike and I both want to make sure that our children inherit as they would have if we weren't married so we need to make that clear legally. I also need to update my will as I haven't done that since my deceased husband passed away. Since Mike and I are in agreement on this I don't think it will be a big deal.
DS called yesterday afternoon and seems to be adjusting more and more to Mike and I being married. He wanted to make sure Mike and I were doing something for Mother's Day. We are going to a brunch and DS approved the menu LOL. He was also happy to hear that we were going to see an attorney.
We have less than a week before we leave here to drive home. I am already starting to get that feeling that vacation is ending which comes from my days when coming to Florida was a one-week visit. But I feel that way when I leave Cape Cod for Florida in the Fall too.
Oh, and I booked the major part of our honeymoon in Tahiti yesterday. In April 2023 we will be sailing on a 150 passenger ship around the islands for 18 days.
Time to get going. Have a safe and healthy Wednesday!

Your honeymoon cruise sounds beyond awesome. I can't wait until next spring to see the pictures and experience it virtually from afar :)
I made it through today, but will definitely call in sick tomorrow. I set up everything I could for the sub and the kids. Wouldn't be surprised if students are out too, we are having more Covid again. I'm going to do a test tonight, just to be sure.
So not much else to say except it feels good to be home, in jammies, in my bed.
Mike has a runny nose/cold too. The friend who visited last week had one and must have been contagious. The friend had tested for Covid several times (negative) and Mike has tested as well (negative). We all sure get paranoid now when not feeling well.

DD, sorry you have joined me with the creeping crud. Hopefully, yours will be short lived like mine. I have the everlasting, nagging cough, but I feel just fine. Like CC, I'm choking out, "It's not Covid," between hacks....
I worked out yesterday with the trainer and we finished with some manual back stretches. Oh, it felt good to do that. Right now my trainer and a PT are the only people I am allowing to put their hands on me. LOL! Chiropractor has been given the hands off order until I feel physically well enough to handle an adjustment.
Work feels very hectic because there are deadlines aplenty. I always meet them, but I do feel the anxiety/stress of meeting them all at the end of the year.
Not much else really.....

I hacked my way through a walk with my friend this morning. At least strangers give you a wide berth! I don't like strangers much anyway... Best part of the walk was a four month old golden retriever puppy named Acorn we got to love up. All that loose puppy skin and soft baby fur. Heaven! Then I came home and cleaned half tool bench. Not high on the list of to dos, but looks much better and I was able to toss more things.
I'm washing sheets and towels and my friend I walked with is coming over for dinner and a movie. We were talking about the movie Everything Everywhere All At Once (she loved, I did not) and we were discussing the male lead who I remarked was in Goonies. She has never seen it (how???) and I need to remedy that!
Otherwise, it's a quiet week for me. So nice!
Puppies! Can't help but love that sweetness!

Greetings all
Another day in the slow lane. But I count myself lucky that I do not have a cold like some of y'all. Rest up good people.
Liz I saw on FB that your former home was up for rent. Bet that buyer was thrilled for all your lovely decorating. No work for them. Tahiti! yay.
I did grown up stuff today. Did a bank deposit for the one gallery. Then I went to the studio to do glazing and one of the staff members was worried we had a lot of cash on hand so I did a bank deposit for that to. I am a serial bank depositor! Then it was drug store and a few groceries.
DD glad you are staying home. Everyone needs a nammie day once in a while. Do nothing useful.
Yeah scrabble group is fun and you actually don't have to spell very well. There are lots of words with alternative spellings and wierd words that only scrabble people know. Plus we are lenient about use of the dictionary. Not permitted in tournament play which is super competitive and highly regulated.
I am not signed up for Twitter but I am thinking of doing so. Mainly because DH always knows all the news headlines before I do.
Teachers you are on the home stretch! We are rooting for you.
Time to go cook dog dinners. Leftover chicken all around.
