The zoo sounds wonderful. I'm glad your cold is on its way out. Our friend arrived with a sinus infection (has taken several COVID tests including the non-home kind). Hhis wife and he are anti-drugs so won't talk to the doctor about any intervention so I guess it will have to run it's course. He has been having a lot of trouble sleeping with the cough and looks rung out.

Afternoon All,
Popping in for a second day - yay :)
Not much to report. Hair has been cut and coloured - be gone grey hairs. I popped tonights dinner in the slow cooker last night and got up at 2am to turn it off. Crazy woman I am. I just need to do egg pasta to go with it tonight. Its a Chicken Stroganoff with portobella mushrooms. Using up items in the fridge as I hate waste.....
Tonight will just be a bit of washing and hopefully an early night. The neighbours dog barked all day and a chunk of the night - I asked him to be quiet at around 9.15pm and thankfully it stopped. Its driving us all nuts. He sets off our dogs so they chime in and around it goes. Ive bought citronella collars for our 2 in the hope I can correct their retorts. I have also let the neighbour know (nicely) that its starting to become an issue. My neighbour on the other side is home recovering from a hip replacement and said its driving her nuts. I felt t best to say something before it escalates and their is neighbourhood tensions...... Never fun.
Cec - Good to hear you had a lovely day at the Zoo with your friend and are feeling a lot better
DD- New spa cover sounds great. Shame it was such a long wait.... Seems to be consistant worldwide
Diane S - Hope Chip comes back looking gorgeous.
Peps- Thinking of you lots and hope you are feeling a bit better today
Liz - Hope you are enjoying your friends visit
Love to you all
I had best get back to work

I was the one AWOL yesterday, LOL. Escalating dog barking tension in the neighborhood. That could be a tough one to resolve to everyone's satisfaction.

Good to hear from you Shirley. Yeah barking dogs are no fun. Only one of our three is a barker but she barks lots if the neighbor dog is out barking. We use a vibrating collar on her in the evenings so she doesn't disturb people. There are also little electronic things that look like a little house that emit an icky sound that discourage barking. Our old neighbor had one and it worked. Only issue is that range is limited.
Great that you can make dinner out of refrigerator "finds". Don't work too hard.
