Greetings all
Sunny and windy here. Scrabble day. I won two games but got stuck with the Q on one, causing me to lose even though I played "overtures" for 84 points! Curses. After that I stopped at the grocery and went on to the studio. I got a pre made deli ham and cheese sandwich which was the world's worst! Cheese worse than Velveta, soggy bread, icky ham. Never again. Now I am afraid I will become sick from it. Like Peps who must have eaten a dog show hot dog!
Have fun at the zoo CC. Sympathies on mask in the car but good on you for doing that.
Meatloaf to be made by me tonight. And for some reason I have been wanting some good green beans. Got some at the store which hopefully are better than the ham sandwich.
We started watching the Ben Franklin documentary last night. Its really good. DH fell asleep on the eve of the revolutionary war so we will probably repeat that bit. I did not know that this guy was trying to avoid the war up to the last minute and was in London during the Boston Tea Party. Kids could get several weeks of history class by watching this show. More tonight.
Liz love hearing of your travels. Keep it up.
Thats about it. Diane S
Peeking in - the AWOL Aussie
Its been a busy time - as always. All the kids came to the farm for Easter - it was lovely but exhausting. Back to work then we just completed the Anzac Day celebrations last weekend - Monday. Sunday was a memorial to Sir Murray Bourchier who lead the charge at Beersheeba. DH and the troop were asked to support the ceremony on horseback in full uniform. It was a beautiful service. Anzac Day started with 6am dawn service, DH and his mates had breakfast at the RSL. I went for a cuppa with one of the other wives. We returned for the march (DH on horseback) and 11am service then I had some lunch at the RSL before driving the 3.5 hours home as I had to work the following day. Busy times but good to remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice and those who still bear the scars of what War brings (my DH included)
Work is settling down a little so its a matter of playing catch up. My director is taking a weeks leave mid May so I will be busy ensuring everything runs smoothly.
Not a lot else to report. Just work, family and farm - rinse and repeat.....
Peps - I hope you feel much better quickly - that sounds dreadful
Cec - Hope you feel better too. No fun after all that you have been through
Liz - enjoy visiting :)
DD - Good to see you are well
Diane S - Good to see you are also
Diane O - Thinking of you as always
Hello to all that follow. I had best get back to work. Ive got 2 tender submissions on the go at the moment. One is fairly simple but the other one is very involved and requires my full attention
Love to you all

Great to hear from you and to also hear that things seem more or less back to normal there with the ceremonies for Anzac Day, etc.
