Quick post from Fort Lauderdale. We had a good visit with Mike's family last night and slept well at his sons place just a block from the ocean. We are drinking coffee looking at the water with a lovely breeze right now. Then we are meeting friends from up north who have a winter place here for breakfast. After that, 2.5 hours to drive home and meet up with more friends arriving this afternoon and staying with us for the next few days. We already cleaned over the weekend so we are all set with that thankfully.

As Mike says, the Vagabond Tour continues...

Had a good dog show weekend, but woke up yesterday with the creeping crud. Some type of major intestinal virus. Norovirus???? It's been intense - fever, nausea, and severe diarrhea. YUCK. Fever is gone, nausea has lessened and maybe is gone, but I still have a lot of gurgling and rumbling in my gut and sporadic bathroom visits.

On the up side - I lost 7 pounds over night! Not the way I wanted to kick start my weight loss. LOL

Once I feel better I will report back....

You could do a colonoscopy after that!

Quite possibly norovirus. It hits like a truck, and in the midst of it you think I will never be well again, and then in a day or two the intense symptoms are gone, leaving you weak and shocked.

That sounds totally unpleasant. I hope you feel better soon!

Cold still lingering. My doctor called to check on me and said the practice has a lot of patients with this bad very long cold right now. So it's out there!

The BBQ is gone, I've contacted the painter but haven't heard back, my friend leaves a week from today. We're going to go to the San Diego Zoo tomorrow. I'm going to have to wear a mask for the drive up and back. Argh! I don't want to make anyone sick and I know I get no sympathy from those of you who have to wear them all day, but I hate them and they make me so claustrophobic. Oh well, reluctant payment for spending time with my friends.

I have a board meeting tonight. Nothing else going on! I may go take a nap...

I think wearing a mask sporadically is actually worse than all the time. Every time I had to switch from optional masks to mandatory masks at work, the transition day or two was the most uncomfortable.

Work was fine. We're doing Greek and Roman Mythology, which is always fun. The sun came out this afternoon, the 4th time this month! Yeah! I stopped at Costco after work, and they had some Fair life Protein drinks, caramel salt flavor. News flash, they are pretty darn tasty! I'm thinking they could be delicious, iced with coffee. Like a caramel iced latte.

Not much else going on.

CC I've never been to the San Diego Zoo. It always gets rave reviews. Hope to see it one day.
