The weekend is here (not that it matters except that everything is more busy).
I became a true Florida resident yesterday: I now have a Florida Drivers license and my address has been changed on most everything to Florida. Good thing I didn't change my name when we married - what a pain that would be! Thank goodness for a husband who didn't care what I did with my name. My maiden name has been mine for 67 years and deceased DH's last name is my kids name, my extended family's name and has been mine for 41 years.
The bar stools are waxed. Today I just need to buff them and reassemble them. I left them slightly "distressed". In some light it just looks like a bad painting job to me. Hopefully once they are assembled and in different light they won't look like a sloppy painter did the work.
Today is catch-up day for many things. We are going to our usual outdoor music venue this afternoon and our favorite restaurant on the water tonight. Not too much time left here in Florida this season. It is 10 days until the closing on my place and 17 until we leave for Cape Cod.
Have a safe and healthy Saturday!

We are finally into the 60s, but it is raining, thunderstorms, and tornado watches. Once the storm comes through the temps drop into the 40s again. I don't know if Massachusetts is also having a cold, cruel spring, but I think staying in Florida until May is brilliant!
I went to sleep around 10:30pm and woke up naturally today at 8am. I just love the opportunity to sleep until I'm done sleeping instead of needing an alarm. I'm drinking tea and watching a gardening show. An act of optimism :)
I need to start getting dressed for the baby shower. Happy Saturday all!
Cape Cod is always cold and wet until about mid-May. Even if central Massachusetts warms up on some days the Cape rarely does. In 2018 I went home in early April so I could attend a class reunion. I vowed never to go home until well into May after that and have done so 2019 until this year. Of course next year is my 50th reunion. Hopefully it won't be in mid-April again but if it is I might just go back for the event and return to Florida for another month.

My friend and I went to Dana Point to walk and have breakfast. Such a pretty day at a pretty place! I drove myself so she didn't have to be in a closed car with me and I knew I didn't feel well enough to walk as far as she would want to walk. Home now and did about 10,000 steps. Not too shabby for someone who kept have to stop every 10 minutes to cough up a lung!
Now I think I've earned a nap...
Greetings all
The sun is back after lots of rain this week. My sweet peas are looking pretty stressed. Not growing much as its been pretty cold some of these nights. I don't think we had a freeze but close.
Yeah Liz, I have always had my maiden name even though no one can spell it. Seemed stupid to change it when I got married at age 43. Its a small hassle when we get a tax refund check since we don't have a joint account either.
Yikes, last night we could not find Poppy! She had found a hole in the fence. She was hanging around in the greenbelt behind us which is a pretty wild place. I had to go to the neighbors where the teenage girl was having a party. One of them kindly climbed over their back fence to retrieve Poppy. I was so grateful. We don't have a gate into that greenbelt and its a very long way around to get back in there. DH covered the hole but later in the evening she found another one! Fixed that too but it was pretty disturbing. So today I took her out for a leash walk so she would learn she does not have to go exploring on her own. She is really pretty good about coming back. It it was Tesla she would be long gone.
Also today I saw Poppy and old Chip out playing with a plastic planter. Chip did that all the time when he was young so it was fun to see him teaching her that game.
Good on you CC for walking with a cold. Nap indeed earned.
We had won tons in broth last night. Not very good. They are better cooked in a skillet. Burritos tonight. I am still fixated on finding some good Chinese take out food.
Liz those chairs were a lot of work! All those different bars to paint which can take a long time. Looks great.
DD glad you got a full natural sleep. I have always thought alarm clocks were uncivilized. Sleep until you are done. I so remember getting up in the dark as a kid. Hope you get some more sleep in days this weekend.
Time to climb mount laundry. It sure seems to pile up especially for two people who are on the 10 most wanted list of the fashion police. Much of it is dog laundry however.
Peps have a good show weekend.
