I am going to try to remember to press Submit today, LOL,
Another windy day which keeps the heat down so it is actually rather pleasant. But no beach today. I have an appointment to get my Florida drivers license this morning and one this afternoon to get TSA pre-check. I am a little worried about the former because I don't have the proof of Florida residency that they ask for specifically though I have credit card bills with this address and our marriage certificate showing that Mike lives here. I am getting the Pre-check clearance because Mike has it and it has been a pain for us to go through security separately or he can't use his.
My stools are done with the painting phase. Today I will wax them and tomorrow I will put them back together. And yes, there will be before and after pictures. I have to admit that these projects are harder to do at my age. I feel like I should be as nimble as when I was younger but I end up with a backache bending over so then I have to sit on the ground or kneel so then my knees hurt afterwards. And getting up and down from the floor isn't anywhere near as easy as it used to be. How did this happen?
My hair roots look pretty good though I reserved some of the mixture and may add a few more highlights today. I like to be VERY careful not to do too much when I fool with my hair color.
Have a safe and healthy Friday!

I was cheering feeling so much better yesterday (even went 3 hours with nary a nose blow) and then the snot gods decided to smite me last night. I got about 3 hours sleep and the rest of the night I was blowing, running, sneezing, and coughing. Went through a box of Kleenex. And now I have a sore, clogged ear to go along with the fun.
My endocrinologist called and said she wanted more time to discuss my results, which is why she hadn?'t contacted me yet, so we?re talking at 11. Which happens to be when I need to be picking up my friend from dropping off her rental car (she's able to borrow another friend's car so it's saving her nearly two weeks of fees). As a retired person it baffles me how I can have nothing to do for days and then multiple things pile on at once. But it'll be good to have some answers there.
Hope you all are well!

Update. She is pushing surgery. I would like to explore radio frequency ablation. We settled on the fact that either way, she'd like a biopsy first so we'll do that of the two most suspicious nodules. If either is cancerous (not a super high chance, 10%) then the answer is only surgery. If it's not, then I think I would like a second opinion about ablation.
Never easy. It does seem like a sound plan.

Oh, flip, it's Friday! I need it, too! However, no rest for the weary. I have dog shows again this weekend, which means up at O Dark 30 tomorrow morning and off by 6:15.
The PT class was all I imagined it to be. Nothing new was learned, but some good reminders were given. Now I have to call and set up the actual hands on appointment with the PT/Sports Medicine person. I am sure hoping this is simply muscular and there is not a structural component to my issues.
I am doing a fair amount of "I don't give a flip" eating this week. I"m not surprised. I tend to comfort eat when I'm out of sorts and this back thing has me out of sorts.
Funniest thing.... Our house guest refused to go to lunch with Ron yesterday until he phoned the dr. and scheduled a hearing screening! He did it! Had an appointment with ENT specialist this morning! I was speechless and annoyed. House guest has more power of persuasion than I!
Hope everyone has a delightful weekend!
Greetings all
Sunny and nice here. But the pollen is out in full force.
CC I think you are wise to get another opinion on the surgery/ablation delima. Can you get an apt with someone at one of the medical schools? Surgery is indeed to be avoided. I don't know how the ablation works. Is that a heat thing? Sorry you still have that cold. The worst part is that it keeps you from sleeping which only adds to the trash-like feeling.
Yep Liz, getting up from the floor is serious business. I got a round of applause at my class reunion a couple of years ago when I laboriously got up off the floor after we took pictures. At the silver sneakers exercise class they say the thigh muscles are among the first to go to hell so they make you practice doing the hiney hover over a chair so you can get up off the pot. I am now at a stage in life where I see the wisdom in this.
So I made reservations at the holiday in for my friends who are visiting in a couple of weeks. I peeked into the guest room and DH has so much junk in there its hopeless. He says he will do something about it but just doesn't. Crap. Meanwhile I am trying to come up with activities for my friends that we can all do since she has had I don't know how many knee replacements.
Peps yay on your guest for getting Ron to call hearing doctor. Will he go? DH was telling me how an iPhone can be linked to hearing aids so you can adjust them with the phone.
We watched the last of "Inventing Anna" last night. Interesting show but now I must find another series that does not involve exploding aliens.
Stopped in at the studio and then made a quick grocery run. Won tons in broth tonight. So much for protein.

The ablation is radio frequency and is basically heat cooking all around the inside of the nodules via needles. I guess it's something that's been used for other tissue in the body but for thyroid nodules, only since 2018 in the US. Not many doctors do it and not many insurance companies cover it yet. So it may be out of pocket, which if it means avoiding surgery might be okay with me. UCLA medical center does it, Mayo, a doctor in Florida is fairly famous for it, one in New Orleans, another in Utah. There's one here in Newport Beach that does it, but he has some not favorable reviews online. Might take some research to find a good one. But I think worth looking into before I let them cut it out!
