A gloomy, warm, humid morning here. People say the "rainy" season is starting early this year. In other words, chance of showers every afternoon.

We had a good evening with our friends from Cape Cod. They liked the place here and we had an enjoyable dinner at the beach club. They are looking for a home to live in year round in this area so we may see them a lot over the coming years.

I am ready to start my next project tomorrow! I bought the chalk pain I am going to use for the barstools and lanai tables and the brushes arrive today. The fabric to cover the barstool seats arrives Monday. I took apart one of them yesterday to make sure I knew how to do it.

We only have about 3.5 weeks left here and a few other places we wanted to visit. I am not sure how we will fit it in with company coming in the middle and a real estate closing to accomplish. Speaking of which that is proceeding nicely and the broker said we might even be able to close early. Though I might not want to because I may want to stay there for a couple of nights just before the closing. Complications!

Have a safe and healthy Friday!

Well, I don't have much to say since last evening's post, not much has happened. I'm currently doing my favorite morning not at work activity, snuggled in my bed drinking tea, watching a local morning news show. Feels luxurious.

Having 3 days off in a row feels wonderful. I am so burned out at work. When I'm actively teaching, when I'm with the students, I get energy from them. But I am struggling to do the paperwork part of the job, which, in special ed, is substantial. Yesterday I had to tell 2 coworkers who wanted me to join them in what they thought was a new exciting project, sorry no. But anyhow, I feel light hearted this morning, so I think I am indeed burnt out, but not depressed.

Off to my mammogram shortly, and then a few other errands.

Happy Easter Weekend!

Starting the day with coffee with my favorite creamer and a scone with butter was just this side of heaven. I slept like a log. even after my nearly 4 hour nap.

We finished Bridgerton last night. That could have been 5 episodes shorter for all the rehashing they did of the same stuff for most of it! We also kept getting the giggles over the tight shots of heaving bosoms. You could make it a drinking game if you were so inclined... Still, beautifully filmed and a nice diversion to watch.

The cleaning people come today and I'm meeting my friend who's staying with me at South Coast Plaza for a walk around and lunch after her Pilates class. Then therapy this afternoon.

I think that's all I have! Happy Friday (and Saturday for Shirl) to all.

I thought the almost kissed but were interrupted scenes were too repetitive, but I was curious how they would finally get together without causing a huge scandal. I agree, it was pretty, pretty setting, costumes, cinematography, people, but very light on plot. A nice diversion.

Doing the best I can right now with my back issues. There are relatively few positions which I can assume that are not painful. Lying on the bed is the most comfortable, but I can not do that all day - especially at the dog show. Eating and food choices are impulsive and soothing.

As some of you saw on FB, I am unable to physically manage the ring, but Blitz was shown by a professional dog handler and won Best of Breed. Made me VERY happy. This is an important weekend - regional specialty shows.

Not much else going on....

Easter Sunday is almost here! Yay! I will have a partner once again! LOL!

I'm so sorry your back is causing you so much trouble! This has been going on far too long. Are there specialists in your health care system you could see? I have a lot of respect for what physical therapists can do. Many have doctorates in PT.

Very worried about your back! It just doesn't seem normal for someone who works out as much as you do.

Greetings all

OH ate my post for yesterday so it better not today! (or else, what?)

Liz you are so industrious in your decorating. I wish I could catch a bit of your mojo but I just can't seem to get moving. I have pretty well made a momentous decision regarding the visit by my high school friends: I am going to book a room for them at the nearby Holiday Inn. I will call and tell them that I just cant get my house into any condition for visitors and that we are running a geriatric dog nursing home. Came to this conclusion after old dog Chip pooped in the house today and puppy does it once in a while in the night. Hopefully my friends will understand and if they don't, oh well.

CC so glad you are through the big event and able to slurp coffee and creamer. Crud on the anesthetic. I am an easily nauseated person and I always tell any anesthesiologist to give me everything they have for nausea. But now you are through this big medical stuff! All, sort of. I hope you get some valuable info from the endocrinologist. Hoping that does not end up being an unpleasant thing.

DH buddy who needs the computer help is getting ready to sell his house. He wants to live in a warm climate so I don't blame him. But I do worry he is sort of gullible and will rush into something. His house is nothing special but it sits on a cliff overlooking the ocean with a absolutely priceless 180 degree ocean view. I am sure his house will sell quickly but I don't think he appreciates how difficult it can be to find a new house. DH and I are scheming on ways to get him gentle guidance.

Got food from the Pho house last night so noodles were involved. The other Asian place was closed for the day. Its an odd place run by a family who lives upstairs and the parking lot is often empty. I used to think it was some kind of front for the mob but I think its just an eccentric family that opens when they feel like it. Plus most of the business is take out. So plenty more Pho food tonight.

Peps congrats on the big Blitz win! You and I both know how much the pre show prep counts in the terriers. I sure hope your back improves soon so you are back in the ring. (ie Ferndale). It probably is not the same thing, by my scrabble friend has an implanted "TENS" unit that gives some kind of electric stimulation to help his back pain. He said it has been a fabulous thing. Hope you don't need that.

Thats about it. Off to shop for dog food and toys.
