I found my coffee table! Of course of the ones I liked it was the most expensive. BUT, not the most expensive that I saw in the shops. I feel like it works well with all the furniture in the room now. Before and after:
The next projects are to chalk paint the barstools and two small tables on the lanai and recover the barstool seats and a bench in the bedroom. I do like having projects! And though Mike professes not to care (he loves to say that all he needs is a bed, a TV, and a clicker), he keeps telling people that his place looks like a real home now. And when we went to pick up the table he commented that he liked a lot of the pieces there and expressed interest in a new art piece for over the bathtub (he isn't fond of the one from my place that I put there).
Later this afternoon some friends from Cape Cod are coming here for pre-dinner appetizers and we are taking them to our beach club for dinner. It will be the first time we entertain here. Later this month a couple who Mike has known most of his life are coming to stay for a few days.
But right now it is time to take our daily 3 mile walk. Justice starts doing twirls as soon as he sees the sneakers.
Have a safe and healthy Thursday!

I love the coffee table, its a game changer! Great find.
It is 34 degrees here and it is snowing!!! Welcome spring. Yesterday I looked at condos online in St. Petersburg Florida. Someday.
Tomorrow no school, but I do have a mammogram, and then to Costco to pick up my new glasses, and I'm thinking about getting my oil changed, although I'm not sure if I have time.
Once DH gets home from work, we are meeting some friends for dinner in Minneapolis, and then we are going to see the musical Jelly Rolls Last Jam. Saturday we are not going to visit my family, and that's fine, DH and I have plenty to do. Sunday Evening we have more theater tickets, and we will see The Prom. Reports are the touring cast is really talented. So lots to look forward to.
Food, sadly out of control. I am so, so tired, every friggin day, and my defenses/will power whatever are low. It will go better over the weekend because ill top off the sleep bank again.

Colonoscopy prep and procedure are done! That prep is no joke. I was fine with the nighttime half and even managed okay with the no eating thing. But the wake up at 6 am and do it to myself again, was ROUGH. I kept thinking, I don't want to do this anymore! But the procedure went well, no polyps, just the other stuff I knew about. I did end up getting sick from the sedation. The nurse was a hero - she was wheeling me out when I started to get sick in the elevator, and when the doors opened, she FLEW to a rack of umbrella bags and I got sick in that. Yuck. She had to take me back and give me anti-nausea meds and wait that out. I was fine on the ride home and got sick again when I got home. Managed to get an English muffin down and crashed for 3 hours. I feel so much better now. Celebrated with pasta with butter and parmesan. Heaven.
My endo called while I was under to talk about my tests, so left a message. She said the test leaves us with a not straight forward explanation with a not straight forward decision, though it's not alarming. Said we'd talk later.
So there's my Thursday! Hope yours were good!
It's the prep that is usually the worst. Maybe they can premedicate you for nausea the next time you have anesthesia? Good news on a clean colonoscopy and it sounds like the thyroid may not be too worrisome? But isn't it frustrating when there is no definitive path to take?
