Oops, OH just wiped out what I started typing. Sigh.

Everything is unpacked and the pictures are all up (pics on TT). The only remaining work is stocking the new garage cabinet I put together yesterday with tools and miscellaneous storage items like lightbulbs. That will make room in the kitchen closet for more organized storage. I also need to hang up my Dyson Animal vacuum and I just ordered a spice rack lazy Susan. I love feeling organized! And I think it turned out fairly well here with the combining of my stuff with Mike's. The only room I didn't touch is the den though Mike cleared out a couple of drawers for my computer and papers. If we decide to stay here we may have a Murphy bed installed in that room replacing the pull-out couch as I really liked mine in Port Charlotte a lot.

Today I hopefully will get a new bank account so I can change the number for my automatic deposits/debits. We also set a deadline on house offers for tonight. As of yesterday there were 3 offers coming and one sounded pretty good in terms of price, contingencies and timelines. So maybe I will be done with that phase soon!?

Have a safe and healthy Monday!

Greetings all

Oops I missed yesterday. We had pseudo Easter at our friends house since she has to travel on Easter sunday for major dental work in the big city on Monday. Specialized medical care is kind of difficult in our rural area. We had a lovely time but I was struck by how old everyone seems. Moving slowly, speaking softly and so forth. The one man who was the youngest and most vigorous of us all seems to have aged 10 years in the last 6 months. This could be because his wife has demential now. Oddly, she seemed pretty good though at the end of the day she seemed to think she would not see us again. All very bitter sweet. But lots of fun still. Getting old sucks.

Liz you have done a wonderful job of making Mikes place into a true home for the two of you. Love it. Hope he does too.

Gallery duty later today. Its supposed to rain off and on so no clue who will come in. I am not going to use that stair railing - there is a ramp also and I will do that. Again, getting old....

Yikes, bank fraud stuff!! I think I mentioned someone stole one of our gallery checks from the mail and altered it. I have heard that checks are the source of most bank fraud. We almost never get checks as payment for anything at the galleries though most of us do pay our dues via check. I used to write lots of checks but almost none anymore. Maybe time to quit that.

So I made the barriactric friendly cauliflower for yesterday and have lots left. the kind with a bit of half and half and parmesan cheese. That will be dinner tonight along with ham.

Shirley loved your spa pics on TT. Looks so fun. What a great idea. Our gym has a steam room but there is nothing like a natural hot spring!! You deserved a spa day!

DD we have now watched all of Pam. Makes me wonder more about the back story and whether there will be more. DH found out that the real Pam is in prison somewhere.

CC so glad your thyroid tests are coming up and you can soon end the diet restrictions. When you cannot eat item X it makes you crave that thing even more.

Peps glad you have Goat II back. Enjoy. Hope you bring it up to Ferndale this summer!!

Not much else here. Off to the studio to see what comes out of the kiln.

The Thing About Pam is 6 episodes total, so I think there is one more to be released this week on Hulu. It airs on NBC first, and then to Hulu.

If you don't want to wait for it to get to Hulu, episode 6 airs tomorrow night on NBC 10 ET/9 CT. Of course, then you have to deal with commercials.

Today was a somber day at school. A sophomore student died in a car accident this weekend. The details are sketchy, as it is an ongoing criminal investigation. What info has been released: the police received a noise complaint at a hotel around 6am Saturday morning. When they arrived, 3 people got in a car and fled. The police did not pursue (they had to check out the hotel) but that car crashed, killing the 16 year old girl, and seriously injuring a boy from another high school, and a 22 year old man. It's an ugly scenario, and your gut tells you her youth was being taken advantage of. I didn't know the young woman. Teenagers do stupid things, and usually it doesn't cost them their life, this time it did. Very sad.

Yesterday I blew off almost all of my chores, and spent the day reading. Mostly I loved it, but since I didn't grocery shop or cook anything, my lunch was pretty sad. I did a pick up order after school, and a hot dish (casserole to the non Minnesotans) is cooking in the oven. The plan is to go work out after dinner. Back to grown up life.

Tomorrow I have a virtual appointment with my endocrinologist, which I assume will result in orders for bloodwork and bone density scan. I have a mammogram on Friday. Yes getting old gets complicated... I am ever grateful for good insurance.

So, so sad about that young woman. My eldest brother died in a car accident at 17 and Mike's brother died in a motorcycle accident at 15. Teenagers usually survive the stupid choices they (we all) make, but sometimes they don't. And the ramifications for everyone left behind are huge.

Right, that's the extra sad, sad part. I was in a motorcycle accident when I was 18. Walked away with some cuts and bruises. I think about all the reckless things I did, some, because I didn't know better, some because it was a thrill. Most of us get lucky, but oh the pain for the ones that don't.

Liz, Good luck on the offers! Great time to sell, the market is so hot right now!
