VSG Maintenance Group
Wednesday, April 6, 2022
I showed my home to 3 groups yesterday, with one no-show (rude that she didn't call to cancel since she had my phone number), and one cancellation. One viewer was non-committal but took a copy of an offer form. The other 2 indicated that they thought they would be making offers. One wanted to run the numbers and the other had to discuss it with his absent wife. But I have yet to hear from them. I have one more showing at 9 this morning. If nothing by noon, I am calling a realtor and listing it this afternoon. Very frustrating process with a lot of work to get ready, then a lot of sitting around, waiting and feeling stressed.
BUT everything is packed. I think we can get it all fit into either the cargo van we rented or my SUV. If not, we have friends here coming next week and they can bring any remaining boxes with them.
Oh and wouldn't you know that the SUV check-engine light came on yesterday. Mike spent a couple of hours at the dealer yesterday and it cost almost $300 but at least it is all set.
Cross your fingers! Have a safe and healthy Wednesday!

It's going to get very hot here starting today. Boooo!
A weird day so far. Not liking it! I have a headache. I was on a conference call that went very unexpectedly sideways when a board member blew up at everyone and hung up. Then having to share concerns I had about something the group was planning and that it might alienate half our supporters. Then a conversation with a friend about something weird that happened to her. Too much uncomfortable, weird stuff today!
My friend's room and bathroom are all ready for her tomorrow. Just have to tidy up some stuff around the rest of the house that can be tidied. 8 more sucky food days...
Liz if you have to go the realtor route, I bet your house sells fast, and then it's a done deal. I've never sold a house, since I am still living in the same home we bought in 1987. I imagine it's stressful.
CC, those weird days when everything just feels off kilter... it's not a full moon coming is it? I don't believe in astrology much, like Mars in retrograde kind of stuff, but, especially at school, I do believe full moons make people weird.
Saw my oncologist today. She is awesome. She said I'm doing just fine. We talked about the weight gain, and she said that in her experience, people taking tamoxifen do best with low carb, high protein diets. So, bought some Fair life Protein drinks and other protein forward food... Same song, verse 327, but what else is there to do? I have a regular mammogram scheduled for April 15, and I meet with my Endocrinologist next week. She will most likely order a bone density scan, since its been a year since I started the fosamax.
The weather here is dismal, high of 39 today, CC, I would love some of your heat! There seems to be a shift in our weather patterns. The growing season is statistically longer now, and we have longer, warmer falls than a few decades ago. But spring is wetter and colder and even more fickle. It will get warm eventually!

DD's oncologist visit made me think I didn't give an update on my dad. His visit was great. No concerning lymph nodes on his scan, the stent swap was a breeze (and he got to watch the camera going into his kidney, which he found cool). The surgeon thought everything looked great and was healing nicely.
DD, re the tamoxifen weight loss suggestions, if only high carb high fat was the diet of choice! I'd rock that...
Greetings all
Another sunny pleasant day here - I almost feel guilty. Spent some time at the studio glazing. A new show is going up in our little gallery with some very cool stuff. Always something fun.
DH brought home Chinese restaurant leftovers from lunch so thats dinner. I came home from the studio hungry for some protein and realized there was nothing. Had to do granola. I must do a better job of keeping some basic stuff around like canned soup and such.
CC I swear weird stuff comes in bunches. Maybe sun spots?
House got cleaned today. I scheduled her for some extra work before our friends come in early May.
We have watched all of Killing Eve except the season finale which is Sunday. We shall see if Eve is killed. Or kills someone.
Eating cereal makes me want to nap. Dang carbs do that every time. Yeah Peps, we need a high carb high fat diet that works. I am afraid low carb is the way to go.
Not much else. We get our second covid booster on Friday at Costco. No doubt won't get out of that place without some serious spending.
