Everyone must be busy today!
The plumber came yesterday and fixed two shower faucets and two sink faucets. Last night I went in to check on the one bathroom I didn't see and noticed THAT sink faucet now had a drip! Argh! Maybe it was the turning on and off the water to the house? The pressure of that did it? Don't know, but how frustrating. Nothing is easy.
I did get my office closet all cleaned out. I unearthed a box of old hanging files with 25 year old tax returns and bank statements. I found a neighborhood shredding event and will take that over on Saturday. Then I took another 4 boxes to Goodwill. And two boxes of paperbacks and cookbooks I haven't looked at in forever to the library book resale shop. I still feel like someone is sneaking in stuff through the back door as I cart it out the front.
Today I'll finish up getting the room (and its closet/bathroom) my friend will use ready to go. But that's all that I have going on.
You are so productive! And plumbing/water is always frustrating. I would eat too much homemade bread too - I love the stuff.
2 showings done, 2 more this afternoon, and one first thing tomorrow. So I am either going to a title company tomorrow or signing up with a realtor. The house looked pretty good after the swaps I made. Not as nice as it used to (to me) but quite passable. And everything is packed! We have an incredibly full cargo van in the driveway and my Honda CRV will also be full to the brim but I am pretty sure we can get it all out of here when we leave tomorrow (hopefully by early/mid afternoon).
Sleep last night stunk but I don't feel too bad today probably due to adrenaline. Our friends were super helpful packing yesterday and we took them out to dinner at a favorite place I hadn't been to for a while. Tonight we are meeting some other long term friends of mine in Venice for dinner.
Nothing much else on the agenda except keeping my fingers crossed. Time for the next showing!
Have a safe and healthy Tuesday!

Greetings all
Sitting here with my coffee on a day thats pretty open Sorry CC, I feel your pain for lack of your preferred coffee.
Yesterday was busy - at least by my standards. Doctor apt in the am for routine follow up. I asked him about my off balance stuff. He thinks its just aging and not some neurological thing. So he is still nagging me to exercise but at a considerably lower level since he realizes that a Jane Fonda workout for me is a no go. Maybe I will unearth our treadmill in the living room and give it a go. It would be nice to walk with something to hold on to. This doctor is so hilarious. We talk about what a horrible state the world is in and he says "well you only have to live on this planet another 30 years or so". Lol sick. But he is ordering my bariatric vitamin panel after cursing the computer because medicare did not think I needed it until they learned how fat I am. Geez.
After that I picked up finished art at the studio and took it up to the gallery for my shift. Going up the steps I held on to a railing and it came out of the wall in my hands!! I fell on my hands and knees but was not hurt. Good thing it was me and not some litigious customer. Anyway our maintenance members came right away to fix the railing. It just pulled out of a hole in the wall it was stuck into. Still I don't think I will trust that railing again. One guy's solution was that as long as the porch is not more than 30 inches tall no railing is required. Not a solution in my book. After that the afternoon was pleasantly slow with a few sales. Picked up some deli corned beef and potato salad for dinner. Not exactly on the vsg menu.
CC and Liz you are inspiring me to de-junk. I have been doing very small amounts. Can almost see the desk top.
Studio time this afternoon, But first, more coffee....

A railing IS needed. I have railings on each side of my stairs to the basement and added railings to my front stairs and to the garage stairs though they were not required by the building code. Better safe than sorry!

Yup, busy.... LOL
Lots of grooming this week. Have lots of big bills coming due this week, too, along with getting income tax completed and filed. Boooo.......
Yesterday I trimmed a Norwich, got some paper work done, took my dad to get a vaccine and then took him shopping. Afterwards I went home to do comps on his car, which we are selling today, ran to the chiropractor and got dinner. Then I find out at the last minute Ron was off to church for a choir rehearsal (surprise to him, too), so I booked a last minute massage.
I am sitting doing nothing after having yogurt and fruit and finishing morning grooming. I feel a bit guilty for wasting time. So, I will keep it short and sweet. I have got to get Blitz trimmed for the upcoming shows the 14-17th.
I do wish I had the drive of some of you busy beavers, but I really just don't. My garage and closets need CC's touch! Boy, oh boy... That's probably an understatement. I have nicknamed the garage the Garage of Doom!
Liz, glad you have prospects for your condo/villa. Would be nice to not have to have a realtor involved, but also might end up being simpler with one, too.
Off to pull some hair!
Good Morning All
Hump Day here again and things are settling down a bit after the training last week. It was a huge success and we have received very positive feedback. There is talk of running further sessions in July. It will have to be worked around my leave (3rd attempt to take a holiday in Cairns with DSS and his family) Thinking of that I have to finalise rental cars soon.....
DH got home late Sunday night and we have been busy doing things around the city house. He is going to the farm tonight - needs to tow the car trailer back up with the 45 garden hoops we bought last night. That was a whole other story - as they ended up being too big for the trailer - so it was like tetris to get them loaded. Good workout indeed.
Finally have some downtime booked for the weekend. DH will come back Saturday and we are planning to go to dinner and a movie Saturday night - followed by brunch with my goddaughter and her family Sunday - we have then booked to spend the afternoon at the Hot Springs. I am so looking forward to a weekend off - much needed for both of us!
CC- So sorry you are on the special diet :( That suxs big time. I am in awe of how much you are getting achieved with the clean up. I need to take on a bit of your mojo and start cleaning out our place. Maybe winter when I cant get outside as much....... procrastination much !
Peps - Enjoy the still moment as much as you can. Sounds like your back is a little better? Good luck with the big to do list
Liz - Sending you the best of luck for a quick and painless sale. You will be exhausted too. Take care of yourselves
Diane S - Oh no - so sorry to read about your fall and thankful you didnt seriously hurt yourself! Would have been a big fright - Hugs
DD - Your vacation photos looked lovely :) Its so nice to see everyone out and about again
Diane O - Loved the picture on FB the other day. You look amazing
I had best get back to work - love to you all x
