Welcome to Friday! We are back in Vero Beach. Food is unpacked but clothing is still waiting to leave the suitcases and we have to take stuff out of the attic. We also have to deal with making sure the truck we rented is all set, review tax forms just sent by our financial guys, go food shopping, etc. Oh and make an appointment with a lawyer because I just realized that in most states a will executed before a marriage is essentially null after the marriage.
Then there are the Port Charlotte property things to deal with. I have to call back the remote person and and find a lawyer for my property sale in Port Charlotte. I now have 5 people scheduled to view the home, including one late this morning and the other 4 on Tuesday. Lots to do!
I guess it is good that there are supposed to be showers off and on for the next week. We won't be tempted to go to the beach, LOL. The honeymoon is over!
With that said, time to also start thinking about weight loss. I am not willing to try he scale yet after the last month in the Keys when we had a much lower level of activity and more snacking at home.
Have a safe and healthy Friday!

Well, April 1st must be a busy day for all of us! Hahaha!
For the first time in years I have a group of kids who delighted in trying to prank me for April fools. Was awfully cute. I am looking forward to a week off. Then it will be race to the end. The last day of school this year is May 27th. There will only be 7 weeks of school prior to summer break. Dang! I have a lot to get done!
2nd workout happened yesterday. It was wonderful! I'm beginning to feel more like my old self. My back is still sore, but getting better. I wi**** didn't bother me at all, but considering that 2 1/2 weeks ago I could stand without support and had to use a walker to get about, I'm doing just fine. I'm walking freely and working out. Just have nagging soreness, tightness and mild pain. Luckily, I have a high tolerance for pain.
Looking forward to my weekend and upcoming week at home.
Greetings all
Hope everyone is well. Peps I am especially glad to hear you are "back" in action. And that your kids played some fun jokes on you. Wishing you a restful week.
Liz so now you have to go back to being a grown up with all the usual household stuff and chores. We all loved your travel posts.
Wish I had something exciting to report but not so. I did go to a different nursery which I had not been to in several years. Nice experience. Not crowded and they had a good selection. I found many types of sweet peas (though some looked a little toasted) and pansies plus seed for california poppies. Planting tomorrow.
DH is in a cranky mood. His 83 year old buddy who is trying to learn the iPhone is having a terrible time. DH has to keep track of his password and stuff. This guy is a Mensa member so not a dummy but its astonishing how impervious he is to tech info. I think its partially because he does not hear well. It stresses DH because Jerry just *****es and *****es about why tech stuff is designed as it is. Oh well it will pass.
We are addicted to Killing Eve. Very weird. Signed up for some other service so we can get season 4.
Today was a culinary first for me - avocado toast. Amazing I had never tried this before and it was quite good. I am truly a Californian now. It was quite filling and stayed with me so probably my new thing. Tonight's dinner is beef pot pie.
DD that park in Florida looks wonderful. But were there mosquitoes?
Speaking of bugs, CC I hope you are recovering from termite shock. Hope it is stressing you less.
I stopped in at the studio for awhile. Its so like a clubhouse and I love being able to go there. Its hopping busy like the pre covid days and its good to see. Lots of new people. The building next door is going to open up soon as a recycling center. Its been some kind of industrial storage in the past and hardly anyone is ever around. It will be interesting to see how it impacts the studio such as parking or people wandering over. We shall see.
I am looking forward to my second covid booster. I need to get a life!!

I'm mentally drained! Had lunch with my friend who never lets me go in under 4 hours. I thought today was safe because she's working now, but she showed up and excitedly announced she had the afternoon off. So nice, but man...
We ate outside at our neighborhood shopping center that has a really nice outdoor seating area with cushioned furniture and a big grass area and fountain the kids all play on. I brought my lunch and she ate the most amazing looking pepperoni pizza I couldn't have. Damn diet!
The cleaning people came today. It needed it after skipping the last round! I also got a bunch of errands done including getting some touch up paint from Home Depot. I'll work on that later.
Still reeling from the termite news, but it'll get taken care of. Sigh. More cleaning out this weekend. I rewrote my 4 page list of things to do to get ready to sell and I have crossed off two pages of stuff. Yay me!
Thinking of what to have for dinner and everything I want I can't have. I want that pizza. It's only day 5. Whaaaaah!
