I may be organized in some ways (getting the Florida place ready to sell), but I am definitely not in other ways. You wouldn't want to see what is in my basement on Cape Cod!

We did determine when we are going to do the furniture swap so I need to arrange for the truck. I also checked with my brother near Seattle on when a good time to visit is so I need to book that trip. I am hoping the flights are cheaper mid-week so I am waiting until Tuesday/Wednesday to book. He actually lives in Port Orchard WA where there aren't a lot of choices for accommodations so I may do an AirBNB in a converted chapel. Not the cheapest, but not super expensive, and it is a rather unique property with good reviews and near my brother's home.

So I have to plan the trip to see my brother, the trip driving home from Florida, a birthday getaway for Mike in early September and finalizing our wedding celebration party in August. I guess I should be happy that we still have the energy to do all this but some more extended downtime would be nice.

But for today we are going to the beach. Only four days left in the Keys so we need to make the most of it.

Have a safe and healthy Sunday!

Yes, a little down time would probably feel good. It occurs to me the to do list can get very long during retirement. While you're working there is a certain rhythm to the day and your tasks are pretty well laid out. When you go on vacation, nobody, self included, expects you to get anything "done" because it's a given you're recuperating from full work weeks.

Almost done packing. DD does not feel well enough to travel, so is postponing her return to Boston. One of her friends will stay with her each night, just to be sure.

Our flight doesn't leave until 7pm, but still much to do here, so more later :)

I have three black toes from my lumber scuffle yesterday and they are swollen so when I walk it feels like I've got something stuck to the bottom. I've been icing. They hurt less, but look ugly! No walk today as I think shoes would hurt.

Today is my last day of unrestricted food. I need to not get carried away, but part of me wants all the things. I need to go to the grocery store to pick up some things for the first few days.

I have 6 boxes to take to the donation center today. Little by little!

When I broke my toe, I wore a "fracture shoe" it has a hard, non flexible sole. The idea being, you don't want your toes to flex. It helped a lot. I came in wearing converse tennis shoes, and my orthopedist said they were the worst choice because they had so much flex in the sole. I waited 2 weeks to get treatment. I don't recommend this. If your toes are still painful in the next few days, I'd get them checked. Sometimes they just need to be taped, but it brings a lot of relief.

Surprisingly it doesn't hurt much anymore. Just a weird feeling of having something stuck to the underside. But it grows more gruesome by the hour!

Pardon my unpainted toes, and really just the picture of feet. Feet aren't nice by and large. I think the new bruises accentuate the black hiking small toe nail still growing out!

It probably would be a good idea to have them looked at. As DD mentioned you might need a boot for a while.

Greetings all

It was supposed to rain but didn't. I have managed to fritter away the day. DH did an errand of mercy helping our 83 year old friend get an iPhone. Major mess to get his old flip phone number transferred over but they did it. Meanwhile my studio buddy came by and mostly *****ed the whole time starting with no parking in front of our house due to the lime green school bus. She has been dealing with the same problems for years and its starting to wear on me. I cant seem to communicate the message "don't sweat the small stuff". Oh well, thats her personality and it aint gonna change.

I did get to the store and got a few sweet pea starts and also some herb starts. Should have gone sooner while they had more. Then I truly had the worlds worst box person at the grocery check out who could not figure out how to box up 10 plant starts - she was trying to stack them on top of the milk!! Oh well, don't sweat the small stuff.

CC those toes look painful. Do what DD says and get them attended to. Toes heal slowly. You will be banished to steel toed boots!!

DD hope your daughter feels better soon. Long term illness is no fun. Glad she will not be alone while you are on the lizarding excursion.

Lasagne tonight from Costa. Love the recipe.

We are still enjoying "Killing Eve". Great show. Weird.

Dog lobbying is starting. Guess I had better get cooking.
