Five days until our return to reality. We have mixed feelings - we hate to leave here but are looking forward to getting back to our regular haunts.
I had a restless night again thinking about moving things from my Florida home to Mike's. And I am nervous today because I sent information to the people interested in buying my place with my suggested price based on available comparables (I sent the backup). I had run it by the woman's brother-in-law and he thought it was reasonable, but there hasn't been a peep from them. I hope I only gave them food for thought and didn't scare them off.
After a relatively cool and cloudy day yesterday the sun is out again. It was actually good to have a bit of a break from the heat yesterday. I am not sure what the day will bring but it will definitely include a walk this morning with Justice.
Have a safe and healthy Saturday!

It would be very smooth if these people did buy your house, and you didn't even have to list it. But if they can't pay the going rate, some other buyer will. Seems like a good time to sell.
DD had a Covid relapse, and her blood oxygen measurement dropped into the low 90s, and she felt weak and fatigued. Her throat and ears still hurt too. I had her do a virtual appointment, and they prescribed antibiotics and steroids. Hopefully that will give her a lift. She is supposed to be flying back to Boston around the same time we leave on Sunday. If she is not up to flying, she has a friend who might be able to stay with her here at our house. We don't want her to be alone if she's still sick. Poor kid, she has been sick for so long....
Today's agenda is wash some clothes, get packed, and get the house in order.
I hope DD perks up soon. She has been sick for a while now hasn't she?

Yes, she was a preemie, and her lungs weren't 100% developed when she was born. She is really susceptible to upper respiratory stuff. She had a big reaction to her 3rd dose of the vaccine, so I was hoping that if she got Covid, she would have a million antibodies, and it wouldn't be too bad for her. Thank heavens for the vaccine and the increased knowledge about treatment, or this could have been a different story.

Long walk yesterday which was nice. Eating wasn't good as I seem to be preloading all the things I won't be able to eat for the next two weeks. That thinking is bit disordered, I know. Reminds me of Fergus funnily enough. When he was eating something that he shouldn't have been and saw me coming to take it away, he'd just scarf faster and swallow it whole to keep me from taking it. I have become Fergus.
Aside from a Costco run to get Diet Coke, I was fairly lazy yesterday. Hoping to make some progress today.
Take care all.
LOL, I think we can all be Fergus at times!

I heard from the couple interested in my place. They want to talk on Tuesday after weekend activities (and probably to have time to think about it). If they are serious (and I think they are) I am sure we will agree on a price as I am willing to negotiate and my place is in better condition/updated than any of the comparables I used. I originally wasn't planning on putting it on the market until April anyway. I think I am going to schedule the truck to do the furniture swaps during the first full week of April. That will give us the weekend to settle in from our return on the Keys and to floor plan enough to decide what I am taking from my place. Then get it done and ready for sale (to this couple of someone else).

Selling houses, Covid repercussions, aging , not to mention impulsive people..we ARE survivors. Despite my southern tribe building endeavors, I couldn't find anyone who wanted to enjoy tonight's local symphony tribute to Queen...so I am going myself, because I CAN.

Greetings all
More sun and warmth today. I decided to work on the deck planters and get the weeds out and new dirt added so I can grow the sweet peas. I saw some pink ones I want so gotta get them. In the process I managed to guilt DH into mowing some of the lawn. It really looks like a pasture in Normandy - great if you are a cow but not so good for the yard. That was my impression of Normandy - if you had to be a cow its would be a great place to be. Lush and pastoral.
So CC your mojo is rubbing off on me. Beginning to dejunk. And yeah all dogs are Fergus - mine start power gulping when they see me coming. Tesla always does it when she is stealing Chip's food. Of course she has her own bowl but she would rather steal his even though it is somewhat the same.
DianeO a Queen tribute by a full orchestra!!! Sounds wonderful. Enjoy.
GL on the house Liz. You are so organized. We still have boxes here unpacked from when we moved here 20 years ago. No telling what is in them. DH was rummaging in the kitchen to find the electric knife. No luck but he did find other debris that even he admits could go away. baby steps.
I just pinched back a geranium and Poppy wants to lick the stems. Internet search shows they are toxic to dogs so that plant is now up on a table.
Peps are you at a dog show? There is a handling practice session tomorrow at the fair grounds and I was going to meet up with Ardith but now its supposed to rain. Thats a no go.
Ok I have a casserole from Costco to cook for dinner. In consideration of CC I will not describe it.
Today's food so far was granola with walnuts. And coffee and iced tea. I did finally get a good deli ham sandwich the other day and it was great but also the size of a VW bus. Could barely eat half but it kept well.
