Hello tribe ! I've been trying to keep up with all of you ! Wedding, puppies, pain management, meatloaf and new showers, putting home on the market, aging parents, blended families, starting new adventures, gym dates, heading into winter and sweet grand babies, WOW !
I had my taxes done and filed married filing separately, and owe $$$$. Worth every penny !!! I continue to expand my southern tribe and am so grateful to be safe and independent. Sadie is adjusting well and has relaxed her hypervigilance too ! Her time on the beach may be limited for the next few months, during sea turtle nesting and hatching. She is such a curious scenter, if I can find wide paths to get her over the dunes and down to the beach at low tide, we should be okay. The jelly fish, star fish, and Portuguese man o' war are a lot easier to spot and avoid at the water's edge.
BB, looking forward to the girls' Easter outfits. I have homework for therapy next week. Why to I keep such firm boundaries with most women and pretty much carte blanche let men walk all over me ? Bullying, obese childhood and adulthood, emotional intimacy issues...damned onion !

So nice to hear from you Diane! And I'm happy you're so happy in your new home.
I snuck up on myself and tricked me into getting my taxes gathered and sent to the accountant yesterday. Sometimes it really feels like dealing with a cranky toddler to get myself to do things I don't want to do. What a chore that is! But my end is done. I also sent along lots of questions I have about moving and to what state to I pay estimated taxes? I will head to MI until I find a house, but that wouldn't be my ultimate home. I just know it won't be CA. I'll let the experts tell me.
I also got my treasurer's report done for our monthly board meeting and started in on cleaning my Room of Shame. Basically the junk room that things get thrown into to get them out of the rest of the house. So far I've filled half my trash can and one box for donation. More today. I also have my re-powder coated outdoor furniture coming back and therapy. The real estate agent is bringing the painter over for an estimate. How nice to have someone else be here for that since I have therapy then.
Scale was down a little more (0.6). That should slow down now that the water weight is gone.
Hope you all have a nice day!
The weather is divine today. It is my favorite kind of spring day - crispy cool in the shade, warm in the sun, brilliant blue skies and vibrant greens everywhere. I'm so glad I don't teach in a city setting. I love my school's location on the open space. Truly grateful to have been able to call this place "home" for almost 30 years!
Diane O, so glad you filed separately and spared yourself the headache of dealing with C. Wonderful to learn how well things are going for you. Boundaries are hard for everyone I think. I don't think there is a person alive who does not struggle with personal boundaries in some area of his/her life.
I was able to trim on Blitz yesterday. That made me happy. I'm not sure I will be able to pull him together to show this weekend, but I will try - if I am up to it physically.
I am comfort eating through my physical discomfort, but not going over the top. Weight was up a tad today, which didn't sit well, but it's not surprising either. It is what it is. LOL
That's pretty much it for me.....
Hi everyone, nice to hear from all of you today!
I love my students, but also, no students for the next 10 days! Spring break week is bracketed by two training days.
Many crazy things happened today, but the craziest is this: there was a gymnastics mat on the floor of the gym. There is a mezzanine/track on the 2nd floor, open to the gym. Today, for reasons I don't know yet (dare possibly) one of my students jumped over the railing, onto the mat. He dropped a full story and, thank God, only broke his foot. The reason I think dare, is some kids filmed it, so they must've known it was happening. This could have been so much worse. Thank God he didn't break his back, or neck ...
Very gloomy and in the 40s here. The forecast for Orlando is mid 80s to 90. My dream, hot and humid, CCs and other California friends idea of a nightmare. :)
DH has to wor****il 8pm. If I'm going to make it to the gym, its going to be under my own steam tonight. I'm psyching myself up to do it. I usually watch the local news, so I figure I can do it from a recumbent bike this evening.
Good Morning All - Popping in and TGIF. Its been a huge week with a big tender submission that has taken a lot of hours and mental ooooph but its in. And now the wait begins. Havent had much time to catch my breath as its straight into fine tuning the industry training days for next week. Running over 3 days - 20 participants each day, split into groups of 10 and 4 training sessions a day. Its the first one we have run and I want it to all go off without a hitch. Im working tommorrow to do the final sweep of the factory and ensure everything is set to go. Its safe to say that by next Friday I will be relieved :)
Peps - SO so sorry to hear your back is still terrible. Back pain is torture. Sending you hugs
Cec - You are doing so well with all the preparations. Its flying past
Diane O - Im loving seeing the happy and content you xxxx
DD - Yay to spring break and so glad that accident with the student wasnt more serious - you have to wonder what goes through their heads
Diane S - Hope all is well
Hello to all that follow. I had best keep going so I dont loose my mojo
S
Greetings all
Plans for today sort of went to crap. I was going to go to the studio but first I didn't feel good and needed to stay near the bathroom and then a friend who got one of the puppies stopped by. Pup was spayed today and she wanted to borrow collars. Then I had to work on banking and somehow the day just got away. I did the bank deposit and then stopped at the grocery for a few things.
So here is an odd thing that happened at the store - a boy approached me in the back of the store (middle school age) and told me he wanted to buy some ice cream for his sister and himself and could I spare him a couple of dollars? He said he was $4.92 short. My impulse was to give it to him but I did not want to open my purse in front of him so I told him sorry, I only had plastic on me. Shortly after that I see this kid at the checkout next to me with a little girl and a man who must have been his dad who was buying groceries. So I don't think that money was for ice cream. I almost said to the dad - hey buy your kids some ice cream. Maybe they were some kind of vegan people who are anti sugar. . Who knows
Ocean D so good to hear from you! Glad your new life is going well. Yep, be kind to the sea turtles. I have heard some beaches have to have heavy curtains on beach house windows because the light at night scares the turtles away. My old dog Tiger used to hunt starfish. But you and Sadie will find an eco conscious way to beach comb. Glad the taxes are done for one!!
Shirley good to hear from you too! You amaze me with your energy. Good luck with the projects.
CC send me some of your de-junk mojo. I swear I am going to get to it. Someday.
Turkey pot pie from the deli tonight. Otherwise it was going to be won ton soup.
DD WTF!!!! Kid jumps off the gym balcony!!! Glad he wasn't injured in a worse way but jeez. I would ******vous wreck if I had to manage kids.
Speaking of kids, the teenage girl next door (the one with green school bus) has received a grant to do a sculpture at Burning Man!! Its a big deal! I am excited by it even though I have never been to that event. I will donate a few $.
Thats about it. Peace all. Diane S
So wonderful to hear from you Ocean D! And yes, married filing separately is worth it as you make your separate life. Love hearing how Sadie is settling in too.
