Someone else needs to start the thread someday soon, LOL!

Insomnia again until 4 am, so about 3 hours of sleep. Good thing I slept so well the prior night. Thank goodness again for retirement as the most strenuous activity will be taking Justice for an early walk before it gets too hot, then going to the beach. Dinner at home tonight.

And we only have 12 more days here. Florida friends are coming to visit for a couple of days this week, then we will wrap it up here.

SIL had her 2 month checkup with her oncologist (she flew back from Florida to Boston for it). No change so she stays on her targeted drug therapy and has her next checkup in 2 more months. We have been a bit worried because she has lost a lot of weight quickly again, but maybe that is the drug. If the drug stops working for her the next steps are either traditional chemo/radiation which typically just extend life for a short while and cause major side-effects. Or trying the immunotherapy again which made her incredibly sick (sick enough to be life-threatening if it got worse) but also shrunk the cancer to nearly undetectable levels. I think she would opt to try the latter but hopefully that decision can be held off for a long while.

I talked to DS last night. Conversations are still awkward but better. He had gone out to dinner with the two SILs and had a good visit. He is very close to them.

Not much else to report. Have a safe and healthy Saturday!

Ugh. I got on the scale today. Why do I let things get so bad?!

Yesterday was a slower day. My neck was killing me from my adhesive scrubbing. I got done on all three sides of the bed. Next is to disassemble the bed so I can peel up the pad from underneath and scrub that up. Worst job ever.

Today I am going to have lunch with my friend. He thinks he and his longtime partner are going to split. This is the one who bought the giant house in AZ. They haven't even moved in. So I may not have my friend within a short drive after all. I hope they can work things out. He doesn't seem to think so. So I suspect a lot of listening and giving support today. It's not like I have experience in these things to draw on, so advice is out.

That's all I've got. Will strive to pick a sensible lunch...

Sorry to hear about your friend. I'm assuming you like his partner if you hope they can still work it out.

Ha Liz, the days I've started a thread mean things are running very late indeed! On weekdays, I sleep every minute I can. The night before, I lay out all my clothes, pack my lunch, sometimes even open my tea bag and drop it in my travel mug. And on the weekends I sleep in. Sorry you are having insomnia again.

Just got back from getting my haircut. It's an hour drive, but I love the chance to visit with my niece. (My nephew's wife), and I love how she does the color.

Not much else going on today, it is sunny and "warm" close to 50! Snow and ice are disappearing. Tomorrow might reach 60!!! The first warm weekend is like some kind of awakening, everyone is out walking their dog, or sweeping sand off their driveway, and you get to say hello to neighbors you haven't seen for literally months, (although we wave as we pull in and out of our garages during the coldest months).

Good cut, color, and a visit are definitely worth an hours drive!

Greetings all

It was a relatively productive day for me but thats not saying much. Started with old dog chip leaking a little pee on the bed cover. Not a big deal since its a cheap washable one from costco but washing needed. Its big so it won't fit in my washer so I have to go to the laundry mat. There is an attendant there and you can drop off laundry and they will wa**** for you. But today they were backed up so I had to do it myself. Thats fine but they only take quarters so I had to get $20 worth of them which was a lot! Fortunately I had $10 left and traded it to a young man doing his laundry. During all this I went to cvs for some stuff and then through Starbucks, something I rarely do. Managed to hit a curb and spill coffee (I am not telling DH I hit that curb as he wigs out). No harm done except to my pants. I remembered the funny sight from last time in Starbucks: A raven found a seemingly empty chips bag, picked it up and dumped out the remaining crumbs for a snack. That starbucks supports a number of ravens.

Then it was on to taxes. Its just organizing it for the accountant but there is still weird stuff to do like information on art sales and puppy sales. Spent hours looking up veterinary expenses of which there were lots since the two went on airplanes and there were pre breeding hormone checks. But its all together except I cant find property tax payment. Guess I will have to call.

So thats a big day for me. Just finished eating some smokey cheddar bacon potato salad. My treat for hard work. But not as big a day as CC with goop scrubbing. Don't hurt yourself!

DD I think I will follow your lead and take a nap. Sleeping is good. Not much time before the dogs start their dinner lobby.

Liz glad SIL is stable. Means a lot.

Taxes are not fun! Always something forgotten.

Yes, with cancer stable is really good!

Most counties have property tax info online. You just enter your address and it pops up whether you've paid or not and how much. You can also stalk your neighbors and friends and see how much they pay in property taxes... Not that I've ever done that (shuffles away whistling affecting my most innocent look).
