We pick up Justice shortly and return to more or less "normal" life soon. We had a relatively quiet day yesterday as Mike was under the weather and we were both tired. We did go out to eat at a little family-run Italian place off the beaten path. The service and food were great and we met the owner (a woman). It was a good find!

Thanks to youngest DD and her BF's gift we had breakfast on the balcony of our room again. We have 2 big pieces of key lime pie to take with us, gifted by Mike's DDs. We drank all the champagne on Wednesday (from older DD and SILs), one of the reasons Mike didn't feel great yesterday. He is not used to champagne and had a lot more than I did LOL.

Time to pack up. Hopefully Justice was comfortable at his place - he usually does well. But all 3 of us will be happy to be back on a more normal schedule.

Have a safe and healthy Friday!

Yesterday I had my shutter fixed, ironed and re-hung my drapes and ironed and hung the shower curtains. I also spent an hour and 45 minutes Goo Goning the adhesive stickiness off my bedroom floor from that damn rug pad. I only got 1/3rd done. What a horrible task! I even had to strip my pants off because I was getting oily Goo Gone everywhere and it's so strong smelling like citrus kerosene and greasy, I'm not sure it's going to come out and might set my dryer on fire or something... Isn't that a visual?? The equivalent of scraping off a stubborn 9' by 12' price tag covered in oil in my underwear. Awful. My hands even smelled like Goo Gone after I showered (and I had to go right to the shower. There was no sitting anywhere to take a break given my greasy state). 2/3rds more to go. Waaaaahh! Boooooo! I'm going to be so sore...

I almost got my thyroid scan scheduled... After 3 weeks of back and forth with my doctor about the request being stuck in some queue (who's queue, I asked? Isn't that the benefit of a PPO? No queues?) they finally admitted it was in the wrong place and I didn't need pre-authorization after all and I could call the nuclear medicine dept at the hospital to schedule. Great. Irked, I did so and was told the order isn't submitted correctly and they can't do anything with it. ARGH!!! So we continue on this twisted merry go round. Some day...

I canceled the cleaning people today. My house has reached the pinnacle of horror of a massive clean out before it starts getting better. No point in having them try to clean around this mess. So I soldier on today!

Eating was good until it wasn't yesterday. I really need some of my mojo to migrate to that corner of my life and work on that.

I would be done in by either the floor scraping or the scheduling snafus! Good luck on both

Ugh CC that sounds pretty awful. Hope the next goo gone session goes quicker.

I'm with Mike Liz, I love champagne and prosecco! I've had a few morning after moments, but always no regrets.

Friday, Friday... So truly happy when it rolls around. Plans to workout tonight, tomorrow morning I get my hair cut and colored.

Sunday we are finally seeing the musical Hadestown. We had tickets to see it in NYC March of 2020, but turns out, Covid had another plan instead.

I'm still testing negative, so hopefully I am not going to get Covid. Watching my daughter, I'm more convinced I did have Covid when I was so sick in December. Very similar symptoms. She is getting better, but it was not a mild case, sadly. Right now she's super fatigued.

Did I mention it's Friday night? Yeah!!!

Greetings All

Goo gone CC!!!!! Sounds icky. Maybe you should get some cheap goo gone clothes and then just toss them when you are gone. I wonder if anything else would work? Good for you for tackling this project. Our gallery had some icky linoleum glued down on our old growth redwood floors. Some were so bad that our carpenter pulled up the floor boards and flipped them over. Presto, new floor. Probably not an option for you. I did a similar project with grout cleaner years ago. No telling what the chemical exposure was.

Studio drama continues. I wish to stay out of it but I fear a reasonable solution will not occur if I don't assist. No more drama please.

I don't think I will eat any more of the asian take out. I got sort of sick today and that may be the culprit. Down the disposal

No weekend plans other than to nag DG incessantly until he gets going on the back yard. Maybe I just need to get a goat. They don't require nagging to deal with grass.

Curses, I cant avoid our taxes any longer. I think I have all the stuff collected and our accountant has a pretty good worksheet. I just have to figure out the puppy sales income and art sales. My records suck. going through checking statements to pick out vet bills of which there were many.

Thats about it. Just finished off my favorite deli tuna salad. Time to buy more.

Cheers. Diane S

Diane, oh my, you suffer the curse of high competency, and therefore others look to, or need you, to problem solve. Hope it resolves soon.
