I am a year older and yes we did it. The service was beautiful - so much nicer than we expected. Professional photos will come in a few days. Dinner on the island across from here was lovely and I didn't eat too much. However lots of champagne was consumed and we were up until around 3 or so talking on the balcony. I don't think I have ever heard Mike be so talkative, reminiscing about his childhood, etc. it was really nice but boy am I exhausted this morning. A nap may be necessary in the middle of the day!

I am continuing to not worry about what I am eating after having room service for breakfast... My eldest DD and SILs sent us champagne, Mike's DDs sent us Key Lime Pie and my youngest DD and her BF sent us a gift certificate for where we are staying. All the family/friends seem happy though DS is quiet today (he did FaceTime with me early yesterday). Mike still has me on what he calls "radio-silence" on FB until the ex is informed. I think she will be okay especially since she finally has a plan for herself. We get along well and I think she knows that I am fine with her being around at family gatherings.

I may need a nap now LOL. I am feeling my eyes drifting closed. Have a safe and healthy Thursday!

Somhappy your day went off without a hitch, Liz!

Up and at 'em today!

Nothing like a call from the doctor's office to get your colonoscopy on the calendar to start your day! And trying unsuccessfully to mask the signs of sleep in your voice when they call...

Productive day again yesterday. I took a broken crystal wine glass that was my grandmother's to a place that does repairs figuring it is easier to find such a place here than wherever I end up. The rugs were picked up, but created a new task for today which is that one of the rug pads broke down and left a sticky adhesive film on the wood floors under my bed. So today will involve getting loads of Goo Gone to try to get it off. It feels really gross to walk on!

With the furniture moved to get the rugs out, I also saw that three of the family room drapery panels were dark with dog schmutz (and so much dog hair!) from when Fergus would wedge himself behind furniture to sleep. So those came down and I hand washed them. Hopefully they are dry today and I can iron and rehang them. I scrubbed the grout behind the furniture too while it was moved. And I finished one bathroom cabinet cleanout.

I also had a sprinkler guy come out to fix my one zone. He tightened some wires and declared it fixed, it started, so I paid him and he left. I started up the zone since it's so dry there and it promptly stopped working after 5 minutes. I called back and he thinks it might be a bad controller since it's 16 years old. I still don't think he knows. He's got to order it and will apply the $90 I paid him towards that at least. Ugh.

After all the hard labor of yesterday, my back started spasming (not like Peps, but you know that "I overdid it and am afraid to stand up, bend over, or lay down because it's going to seize" feeling). I put an Icy Hot patch on and went to bed. For "overdoing it" pain, I think those feel heavenly.

Today a shutter repair guy is coming to fix a broken louver and I have therapy. I still need to get started on my tax stuff!

I hope this productivity lasts. I've found it can switch off as quickly as it switched on...

You have been motivated. Time to find a new place to give you continued energy.

CC, didn't you have a flat on your back I can't move episode when your back went out a year or two ago?

Yes! I bent a few degrees and it was like I wa**** with a lightning bolt in my lower back. I literally couldn't see for over about a minute when it happened. I think that was because I nearly passed out it hurt so bad. But I thought I might be having a stroke (always rushing to worst case scenario!)...

Greetings all

Liz so glad your wedding went well and that the weather cooperated. Sounds like everything was lovely and the day was totally wonderful. Wishing you much happiness. We all knew Mike was a keeper from when you first described him. Blessings.

CC you are a whirlwind! Kudos to you for getting all that stuff done. So hard to get anyone to come fix anything these days. Its good to have a project.

Studio controversy continues and attempts are being made to rope me into solving things. I am resisting. I am too old for this Sh--!

I got some Asian take out food yesterday. Some egg rolls, some kind of stir fry and pad tai. Not impressed but maybe I chose the wrong things. DH and I had both been craving chinese take out lately so I started with this one. I will try somewhere else next time. But there is another dinner of it tonight so no cooking yet again. Yay.

Must go shopping for dog food, coffee and half and half. This will require three different stores. Seems weird but true. I got this really high end dog food - Acana - or something like that. The dogs hate it. Must find a non designer dog food. Peps I know you like stuff from Costco but I have to get a small bag for these little dogs. Plus Chip is old so he eats a lot of rice and soft meat. Dog restaurant here.

I am lusting after these local junk hauling adds I have seen lately. Now if only I can convince DH to let go of falling apart planters and other such debris.

The sun is out and life is good. Now if only Russia would stop that war.

Happy Saint Pat's day! Celebrate by eating something green. (spinach, not pistachio ice cream!)

Acana has resulted in more dogs with the dilated cardiomyopathy that Ferg had than any other food brand. Your dogs know expensive but potentially deadly when they taste it!

Purina ProPlan, Royal Canin, Science Diet, Iams/Eukanuba all seem to be DCM safe. The fancy expensive foods are more likely than not formulated by marketing majors to appeal to human palates unlike the above that have veterinary nutritionists in charge.

I like Victor's, too. You can get it various sizes delivered right to your door! Comes in 5, 15 and 40 pound bags.

Liz, it all sounds blissful, and your happiness shines through. Mike's ex wife better be happy he chose you, because no one is going to be kinder to her than you, she's lucky.

CC, I love all your mojo lately! You'lI be impressed to hear I picked up some newspapers next to my reading chair, and put them in a brown paper grocery bag, which I will eventually take out to the recycling bin. Oh, and I emptied the top rack of the dishwasher while I was waiting for the electric kettle to hea****er for tea. And now I'm reclined on my bed, wondering if I really have to go down there and make dinner.

Diane I too dream of getting the junk guys, or renting a dumpster. Next best thing is CCs trick of never bringing your trash can to the curb with empty space. One summer, many years ago, when I was very ambitious, I rented a second trash can, and both went to the curb each week full. It was less daunting than a dumpster. And that is how I finally started parking in the garage again.

DH has a motorcycle stored in our garage that he bought when he was 19, and hasn't ridden for well over 20 years. I am secretly pleased it doesn't run, because I am not a fan, I think they are too dangerous. And I have a small scar on my foot from a crash when I was 18 to prove my point. Anyhow, he can't really find parts since its over 40 years old. Yesterday he gleefully told me he found what he needs on eBay. Sigh. My only hope is, if he gets it running, it won't be as fun as he remembers.

Our workouts are going well, I'm enjoying having DH be my car service, we chat as he drives me there, and again on the way home. Sometimes he warms up the car before we leave.

5 more student contact days until spring break, but who's counting
