One day! It is hot and muggy again after a couple of days of windy weather. I believe it will be the same tomorrow for our ceremony. Hopefully it won't be too windy so my hair won't be flying around in all the pictures LOL.

Mike's ex apparently is making arrangements to rent a place for the summer at least. Progress! But she is complaining about having to pay rent. Reality can be tough.

We have taken our usual 3-4 mile morning walk with Justice (3 miles today, 4 yesterday). We know the length because Mike has his son's old Apple Watch configured to use now. So funny to see him talk on it. Maxwell Smart!!!

Today we are going to the beach then eating in. We leave for Key West around 2 or so tomorrow.

Have a safe and healthy Tuesday!

Every time I or my dad's wife talk into our Apple watches my dad shouts, "Dick!" as in Dick Tracy. Cracks me up.

Well, another late night. I think I fell asleep after 1 sometime. But I agreed to walk with my friend, so I'm up and questioning the Me that made early plans knowing I'm having trouble sleeping.

Yesterday a family friend who happens to be a real estate agent came by to pick up a bike I'm donating. I mentioned I was going to call him about listing my house. He joked, "Now is a terrible time." I said, "Really?" thinking I'd missed the boat and not realized it. He laughed and said, "NO! Your house will sell in a minute. The only problem will be getting out of the way of the people running in with their offers." Most of his listings end up with 100 offers. He said it looks like a model already, so no extra staging necessary. And he thought it would sell for substantially more than I thought. The last home sold with my exact floor plan sold for 70% more than I paid in August. He thought it could sell for 110% what I paid. That's NUTS. It's a tract house with a 3ft deep front yard! Anyway, he said whenever I'm ready he can do it. Yikes! Very real now!

I also talked to my great friend in the UK and she booked a trip to come here for the month of April. She was going to stay with her husband (they are no longer together, but still married), but he has since given up his apartment and moved in with his I-still-swear-she's-just-a-friend. So she is going to stay with me for a MONTH. Eek. Long time for a house guest, even one I like! Especially if I'm trying to list my house, pack, move, colonoscopy prep, be on a low iodine diet for two weeks etc. Should be interesting...

I'm feeling a mite overwhelmed! The walk should help. Later will be a nap and a trip to the eWaster center. Happy Tuesday to all! And Happy Wedding Eve to Liz!

Yes a one month visit is LONG!

Good news on the likely ease of selling your house. I am hoping it will be fairly quick and painless with my Florida place. A friend's sister is looking at it Friday (my friend has a key). I plan to remove my personal stuff and swap some furniture with some of Mike's stuff in early April and put the word out that I am selling.

Good Morning All

Its Hump Day here already - Yay to a Holiday Monday..... Had a good night last night - Made a bulk lot of fried rice for DS lunches, some for my mum too. DS started clearing out the Veggie Patch when he got home from University - another couple of beds done. All in all it was a pleasant peaceful night.

Im heading out to a show tonight - DH was supposed to come but is back in Brisbane so Im going with my best friends Husband. Meeting at their house around 5pm as we will grab a bite to eat as we head in. Should be fun.

I am working on a 36 page tender submission which is best tackled in chunks - they are most definately not my strength but practice makes perfect as they say..... not a lot else to report

Liz - as we say over here "One more sleep" Wahooooo and so glad Mikes EX is finally hitting the road - its long overdue!

Cec - Great news about your house. Hope you enjoy your walk and I think a nap will be in order this afternoon indeed

Peps - How is your back? Has the spasms stopped? Im hoping so and you are a little more comfortable

Love to all that follow - I had best get my head down and bum up and get this tender finished !

Thanks Liz - the guy we are seeing did posts/videos all through COVID - it was hilarious and honestly kept us sane through the endless lockdowns. Hilarious take on all the rules and regulations and differing mandates between all the states. At times I watched his latest video over the depressing news

Jimmy Rees - Meanwhile in Australia - if you want to take a peek

Hi everyone! Happy Wedding Day's Eve Liz! You will look beautiful wind or not. If you and Mike go out tonight, I guess it's your rehearsal dinner.

CC we'll have to compare notes after hosting a BFF for a month! It's a special kind of experience :) I hope you have lots of fun together and still get to some of the things on your to do list.

Shirl, Hope you have a wonderful time at your show.

Peps, have you seen a physical therapist for your back? I know a lot of people get satisfactory treatment from chiropractors, but I have even greater faith in PT.

I left my computer at school, so I need to run back and get it. More later.

I tend to like good PT people too Peps.

No rehearsal dinner, LOL. We had leftover chicken on salad. Pretty healthy and very satisfying. The next couple of days likely won't be so healthy...

Well more drama in our house. Our daughter arrived from Disneyland Friday night, and then was going back to Boston by the weekend, so she could go to her classes. She felt sick on Saturday, so took a Covid test, negative. Today she started feeling better, but couldn't taste anything. Ruh roh Shaggy. Yes, she had Covid. You know how your head itches when someone talks about head lice. Well of course I'm now thinking, does my throat hurt? Well yes it does, there is some congestion too. Is it Covid? Allergies seem more likely. But, I am staying home tomorrow. It will be 5days since my first exposure to daughter's Covid, so, according to my work guidelines, this is the day to test. If it's negative, and I'm symptom free, I can go back to work, as long as I wear a mask. I just don't want to expose my co-workers 9 days before spring break.

I hate all the ambiguities. I'm never "symptom free" in the spring. I've been with her for days, Saturday, the first exposure, but also exposed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. I guess I should just test everyday for awhile. We've got 6 of the government tests in the house and I can get some from work too.

So working from home tomorrow, we'll see what happens next!

Wow! That stinks. I hope DD is okay. All my friends who have had it lately say their symptoms changed from day to day and none of them were ever that significant. They all found out through testing because they were told that they had been exposed (wouldn't have guessed it otherwise).
