Good Morning All,
Nearly the end of the working week for me. One more day to go. Last night DH & I prepared 44lbs of tomatos, 9.9lbs onions & 5.5lbs of apples that will be made into Tomato sauce and Chutney tonight. Safe to say I was sick of chopping by the end of the night..... But I prefer homemade sauces etc so its a labour of love.
Have a social weekend planned - Im enjoying being able to get out again. Friday night we are seeing DSD and her partner for Thai food in the city. Saturday I have a concert most of the day/night with my gf's and Sunday we are using a voucher from my old boss for high tea at one of the winerys near our house. DH flys back to Brisbane late Sunday night. Monday is a holiday here so I will likely strip out the veggie patch and turn it over in preparation for the winter veggies. And maybe some netflix/rest time.
Taking my mum out to the country club tonight - its steak night and will be good to get her out the house for a quick dinner
Liz - a week to go. That will go so fast! Cant wait to see the photos and Im so glad DS has come around. Sorry to hear Mikes ex is a pain in the butt. That would drive me insane
Peps - You sound like you are busy as always. Loved reading that you will have 2 litters this summer :) I love love love puppies
Cec - Go you on the walking. Can you please send some motivation to me x
Diane S - Good luck with sorting out the gallery stuff - doesnt sound fun at all
Love to all that follow. I had best go and get some more work done. We have a big 3 day training day at the end of the month and I have a ton of things to get done before that happens.....

I am a slug. When I worked out Monday, I just could not, physically, do the same intensity as Sunday. I'll go tonight again, but I have the same, weary down to the bones feeling I had last fall. I'm trying very hard to eat good food that nurtures me, yogurt, salads, meats, milk, fruit..I stopped trying to eat a calorie deficit while I'm so weary. I'm trying to go to bed at a decent time. But I think its that %$ Tamoxifen. I suppose if it's preventing a cancer reoccurance, I should think of it more fondly. That's the problem, in large numbers of people, it's clear it does reduce reocurrances. But when it's just you, a study of one, you know that you could take it faithfully, and still get cancer again, or you could skip the whole thing, and the odds might be with you. The question you have to ask yourself is: how mad would I be at myself if I didn't take it, and had cancer again? Vs. How mad would I be if take it for 5 years, dealt with the side effects, and got cancer again anyhow? Right now I'm still on the side of doing what prevention I can .... 4 more years to go...
DD what an awful choice to have to make. Take a pill that makes you feel crappy or take risks. I have heard that drug makes you tired. Being a slug is totally ok. I don't suppose they have a jacuzzi at planet fitness. Sounds like that would be a good thing. And yeah, not a good time to diet. Sending good energy...
Not good choices, DD. I expect that SIL is having some more side effects from the drug she takes too as she is losing weight again. When I saw her at Christmas she looked really good but had just started back on it. Now her hair has a weird texture and she is very thin again. The hair change is definitely the drug - I hope the weight loss is too.
