Yesterday was a good day in Key West. The part of the beach where the ceremony will be was much nicer than we expected it would be. The part of the beach closer to the main area isn't nearly as nice, but that area is perfect. We poked around some shops and a couple of bars, had lunch, and came back to our quieter little house. Mike was wondering out loud if we should have stayed right in Key West for the month but I said no way! We can get there in 1/2 hour and I way prefer the quiet area we are in for day to day.

Today will likely be a beach day somewhere, possibly in Marathon. The SILs arrive for 2 days on Wednesday so we may need to pick up some food supplies.

Have a safe and healthy Monday!

ETA: We tried to watch Belfast last night but couldn't fini**** Their accents were too strong to catch enough of the dialogue even though I have had Irish friends and co-workers.

I watch a lot of British shows and movies and sometimes have to turn on the subtitles when they are really strong!

We turn on the subtitles now for all British/UK programming. We started doing it when Ron's ears were so clogged after getting the flu last fall and we have just kind of stuck with it. I find it works very well for me with my mild hearing loss with all shows.

Gosh darn it and my poor dog show eating! Back up over my red line - only by a pound, but still....

I really enjoyed my time with CC. I wi**** could be a regular thing. I felt so at home with CC. I could just be me without a second thought.

My dog life exploded on me yesterday. LOL! As can happen, my girls are all starting to cycle at the same time. Dinah came in season, Dottie is getting ready and Lulu is on deck, too! Dottie and Dinah are both scheduled to be bred. Just what I need... two litter at the same time. Well, it'll be summertime, so I'll be home and can easily manage. Pups will all be in their new homes by the time school starts in August. It's just not ideal. But so be it! Not much in life comes with ideal timing! And babies are sooooo worth it!

Today is a day of truth..... I FLIPPING LOVE TO EAT! Just sayin'......

Aw, big giant hugs to you. I felt the same. Like spending time with a wonderful friend I'd known forever who knows all my ugly sides from here and likes me anyway!

Yes, subtitles really do help. We started using them a few years ago when we watched Odine. Super heavy Irish accents! Now we leave subtitles on for just about everything.

So many puppies this summer. You will be a very busy man!

I love food too! Deprivation eating never works for me. My BFF has stayed very slim using WW points for years. But at what cost? Whole grain spaghetti with no sugar Hunts spaghetti sauce and canned mushrooms. Fat free microwave popcorn. High fiber low cal bread sandwiches with just tomatoes and mustard. Boiled eggs, throw away the yolks, just eat the whites... Works for her, but I would be so rebellious after one day. I guess I won't do anything to be thin, because I won't eat like this.

We got in our workout last night, and will go again this evening. I like going together. We ride recumbent bikes together, then we each break off and go do different resistance machines, meet in the lobby, and go home.

The news brings tears, I can't believe the suffering of the Ukrainian people.

No classes tomorrow, we are administering the ACT exam to any junior who wants to take it. I am 100% behind this inclusive testing situation, every kid can try it out for free, no scheduling hassles, familiar environment... I also 100% hate proctoring it. At least the teacher I'm proctoring with is someone I like.

Tacos for dinner... Feeling good about what I've had so far. 90% of it was nutritional and tasty!

That menu of food sounds godawful.

Greetings all

Here I sit while cooking hamburger for the dogs. Old Chip won't eat his kidney dog food any more so he gets a big dish of rice with some hamburger.

No ricotta bake last night. Studio buddy came over and yacked for hours and didn't leave until 7:30. So we had organic burritos from the freezer. And not tonight either as there were chicken pot pies at the health food store and one feeds us both quite well. But now I am going to be fixated on chicken tacos until i get some!

Studio work today and errands to the gallery and such. Still unsnarling a sales tax issue for the studio which I think is a mistake in various 10 digit account numbers. Garbage in, garbage out.

Peps and CC glad you guys had a good visit. I so value all of our tribe! Peps hope you get two litters of 12 each. Thats 120 poops per day!! I think I told you that the water district called us when we had our pups to tell us to check for a water leak. I explained about our excess toilet flushing requirements!

Hey the CC is a good idea for British shows. I like having it for news as its a few seconds delayed so if you miss something it will show up. Needed it for All Creatures.

Regarding weight and eating, I have a serious case of ostriching. Just don't want to deal with it. And I recognize this feeling from years past. Dang it, I am fat again and swore that would never happen. Who made these rules??

Cheers. Diane S

I just finished All Creatures season 2. Such a lovely show. I may just rewatch it from the beginning!
