Another day in paradise. Truly. If the breeze we have been getting continues for the entire month we won't need to turn on the air conditioning at all. The air feels so good with humidity levels at 57% or more. My dry skin is healing! I get cracks on the ends of my fingers and my heels in dry air which no amount of moisturizer can completely eliminate but they are going away quickly. Maybe my hands will look somewhat okay by the time we exchange wedding rings.
Interesting but not surprising thing about being here is that though there is a food store and gas station nearby there is no place to buy miscellaneous stuff like glassware. One has to drive to Key West for that. I found that out because there are no wine glasses here and I prefer to use one LOL. The only other downsides here are that the master shower gets no ho****er and the plugs in the master bath don't work (property manager is contacting a plumber and electrician). There is another shower in the guest bathroom but that one is not nearly as nice. And I can obviously plug my toothbrush and hairdryer in elsewhere but when we have guests that may be inconvenient.
Time to make a couple of calls. We are going to the beach later today.
Have a safe and healthy Thursday!

We had a thunder cell explode directly over the neighborhood this morning. I have been in some good thunderstorms on the eastern seaboard, but this was altogether different! I have never had the sky crack open overhead with such a sonic boom with enough reverberation to feel it in my chest while inside the house and light up the sky with blinding whiteness. Sadly, several of the dogs were outside on the lawn enjoying their morning play routine. Dottie, Lulu and Dinah had a very hard time recovering. Luckily, the boys and the puppy and grandma seemed quick to recover and got on with it. Dottie was really quite upset and didn't want to leave my side. I got her playing a bit before I left for work....
I am looking forward to my dog show weekend... Especially since I will get to lunch with an old friend, who I've yet to meet.
Only two more decompression treatments and I'm done! Oh joy!!!!!! I am quite tired of the sore lower back, but I know it's been well worth it. Hey, at least I'm taller! LOL!
The test I taught to has been taken. I can tell you that it was pointless. The kids who do well, did well. The kids who I knew would do poorly, did poorly. It could have helped the in between kids do just a bit better, but I'm not so sure. I hated doing it.
today was far better. Outdoor education! Whoo hoo... how learning should be!

5 miles of walking with a friend this morning followed by lunch. Such a nice day! I have therapy in a bit.
The walking was good and something I know is a key to my success and long term mental and physical health. And I enjoy it a lot. So why do I fight it??
So looking forward to lunch with Peps tomorrow!!
Love "having lunch with an old friend I haven't met yet"! Jealous because I would love the chance to have lunch with any of you, or all the tribe at once! Wouldn't that be amazing!!
Liz, your beach pictures are to die for. Beaches in Key West itself are rocky, its really just a hunk of coral floating in the ocean. Your beach looks so inviting with its sugar sand and turquoise water.
School is too nuts to be believed some days. But then some kiddo does something they thought they couldn't, and you're there to see it, and you think, this is right where I need to be... Had both today.
DH and I have a date to go workout at 6:30pm tonight. I used to be the I want to workout alone type, but I'm finding its a lot of fun to go with him.
I love that you and DH have a date to work out! Food for thought.
