It is 6 am and we leave for the airport in 45 minutes. I believe I had a grand total of 30 minutes of sleep last night, though it might be an hour. I am not good the night before a trip. But we are essentially all packed and just have to get cleaned up and dressed. More later, maybe.
Have a safe and healthy Sunday!

Well it took 2.25 hours to check bags snd get through security. The only thing I know I left behind (so far) is Justice's leash. So I ordered one on Amazon to be delivered tomorrow.
It will be a long travel day but at least tomorrow is more or less a day off before we drive to the Keys. We do need to get our marriage license and try on the 3 dresses. Then there is a get-together with my friends there in the late afternoon. So sort of a day off...
I learned another lesson during these travels beyond making sure I have healthy snacks available when needed. I am pretty sure I have dumping syndrome. I have had intestinal issues since I had my surgery but never really considered it. Whenever I have a snack with a fair percentage of starch or simple carbs/sugars like crackers or a breakfast with white toast or pancakes I dump about 1/2 hour later. If I am careful about the content of my meals/snacks I do okay. It doesn't happen as often with dinner probably because I have a more protein/vegetable rich meal than the others. Live and learn. Not only do I need to lose weight, I also need to eat healthier- at least the latter should help the former.

That airport scene sounds horrible! Plus, I would have missed my flight because I typically plan to arrive 2 hours before departure for domestic flights.
I can't eat things like just pancakes for breakfast either, I feel just awful. If I have to eat something like that, it helps if I have some fat with it, like bacon. Counterintuitive, but I think it slows the passage of the simple carbs through my digestive system. Another thing that really gets me "going" is added fiber, like in a fiber one bar. Naturally occurring fiber, no problem.
Yes, bars used to bug me too - I bought some but we will see.
Mike is a little anal about getting there 3 hours ahead but I would usually have allowed only 2 hours as well. Luckily we followed Mike's rules!
We are in Houston now waiting for our connecting flight. Justice has been super well behaved as usual. It looks like the flight will be on time so we will be in Florida just after 6 in warmth and have some decent level of moisture in the air. Yeah!

2.5 hours?! That's insane. Phoenix isn't a small airport, but it's not like it's O'Hare or LAX!
I'm feeling very lazy today. I will take a walk at some point though. Also working on a punch list for listing my house. And another for a friend who is going to stay with me in April - I need to get the guest facilities up to snuff!
Another gorgeous spring day here...
Take care all!
Have you decided where you are moving to????

I've settled on Sedona, but availability is a problem (there and everywhere), plus it's a terrible time to buy a house just ahead of inevitable interest rate increases. So I'm going to focus on getting my house ready for sale and worry about the buying part later. I can always hang out in MI and keep my things in storage until I find something.
Great location! We did love it there!

Greetings all
I am dawdling at my computer today and avoiding going out and running errands. Actually its not too bad. Just a trip to the bank with gallery money and then a few groceries.
Dinner tonight will be enchiladas from Costco. Pretty good plus no cooking for me.
The giant lime green school bus is back in front of the neighbors. So the air is filled with the music of power tools. I never understood why old people didn't like noise. Now I do. But its a good project for the teenager and she seems to be really good with tools and projects. She wants to be a psychologist but will be able to work her way through college as a carpenter.
Liz our discussion of the dreaded calcium pills got me back on track taking them. I had sort of quit them but I also have osteopenia so must do better.
And geez Liz, 2.5 hours through airport!!! Reminds me why I don't want to travel. Ditto on the snack travel thing. You never know when or if you will eat in an airport.
Sedona CC!!!! Awesome. Can you build something there? It would be so cool to start from scratch. Wishing you luck on finding what you want. Pool I hope.
When I go by the bank I will assign myself a mission: there is a little free pantry at the church next door and I will see if its empty. If so I will go to the discount grocery for canned stuff and jerky
Later all
