We have to check out today, but our flight doesn't leave until 8pm, so we still have a good chunk of the day to play. I'm not anxious to get home to a driveway covered in fresh snow and a high of 6 degrees, but real life calls, and we have to answer.

We went to downtown St. Petersburg last night and had an awesome time. Less people than along the beach. Great views of the water, good food, nice evening.

Time to get on with checking out and all that entails. Have an awesome Wednesday!

You beat me by a couple of minutes again! Enjoy as much of your day as you can!

4 inches of snow on the ground here! The people we chatted with from Georgia are nervous about driving but us Massachusetts folks will be fine. We hope to leave in the next hour for Hoover Damn, then Las Vegas. We will drive south into heavier snow, then out if it altogether. The temp at our destinations will be about 50. If it isn't windy it will feel warm compared to the Grand Canyon.

I called deceased DH's (not sure what to call him in the future) best friends last night to tell them that Mike and I are getting married. They were super happy for us. They have met Mike several times and really liked him. Part of why I fell in love with him was how he fit in with my life so well (is so much like the people I am closest to). I still have my brother and a couple of in-laws to call, but most everyone on my side knows. Mike has only told a few friends though - not his kids! He seems to be waiting for some perfect moment to fit it into his weekly conversations. Not my problem. DS is my problem, but even his birth mom says he is being a "drama queen". He is answering my messages more. I keep sending notes, pictures, and trying to call. Eventually he should thaw.

Time to get ready to go. Have a safe and healthy Wednesday (whoa - 3 weeks to my wedding )!

Greetings All

Sun it out and my mood is good. Just had the house cleaned and I ate some good granola with almonds. I like granola that is fairly plain and not junked up with all kinds of weird stuff. Like molasses. That stuff does not taste good.

Dogs always have a ball with the housekeeper and she seems to like them. We let old Chip greet her first since he frisks around like a puppy.

Lots of errands yesterday so today is more calm. I will go to the studio, address tax stuff, enjoy the warmth of my little studio in the low winter sun etc. That room could be a "lizarding room" as the sun really comes in from the south. Nice for drying clay in a damp winter.

BB had an interesting topic on TT. Mentioned that dealing with weight issues is a giant energy suck. So true. As I said there, for me it was trying to maintain a decent looking business wardrobe when absolutely nothing fit well, fat lady stuff was cheap and showed it, shoes wore down, flab protruded and I felt I always looked dumpy. I am rather dumpy looking these days as well but at least every day is casual Friday.

I made goulash last night with lean ground beef and only a small amount of macaroni. Beef broth, tomatoes and smoked paprika. Pretty good plus whatever we don't eat is safe for the dogs.

Tee hee Liz, driving in snow. I guess we are used to places that maintain roads like the midwest. I think there was snow in the mountains out here but here is how I handle it: don't go up there. There was frost last night.

Drama at the gallery: members arguing about where to have the member meetings. One person offers a dumb idea and then "feels attacked" when others disagree. She often posts that she "feels attacked". Ok, so stop posting dumb stuff. Meeting will be at someone's house. I am not going as it requires driving after dark.

DD sorry your vacation is winding up. Can you go to the beach and then show up to the airport with sand? Travel safe.

Such a gorgeous day here. In the 50s, but snow on the hills from a quick storm, bright blue skies and puffy clouds.

I walked and gabbed with my friend this morning, then headed to Costco to replenish my diet coke and raspberry stores. I was hungry and bought a few things I shouldn't and a few things that were good calls. One was a fresh cooked shrimp ****tail container. I've been shrimping all day. Yum.

MI guy came out of his hole and called. I told him I was not happy about how he left me on my own on that conference call. He apologized. Our board meeting went really well. People were very receptive and not angry at me for asking very hard questions (but angry at outside parties who have created these problems). Lots of work ahead to figure out where we end up.

My dinner plans were canceled tonight with another friend. I'm crazy about my friend, but as an introvert I LOVE cancelled plans.

That's my Wednesday! Hope you all had a nice one. Liz, I saw some pictures from Sedona today. Loads of snow there too!
