Welcome to Friday! Time is sure passing fast. We are off to Grand Canyon and Las Vegas for 5 days beginning Sunday, then fly to Florida 2 days later.

Yesterday's day trip to Sedona was good. We had a very enjoyable hike. I wish we had stayed in that area as our base vs. Scottsdale but hindsight is always more clear, isn't it?

Not much going on today. We are winding down on food supplies so have to figure out something for meals today. Mike is meeting a former co-worker for lunch so I will probably go to the pool (if it is warm enough).

Have a safe and healthy Friday!

Greetings all

DH is off to lunch so I am doing what I do best: watch CNN, play scrabble on line and drink coffee in my pajamas. Its a beautiful sunny day but windy. Must get my hair washed and get going doing something useful. Maybe later.

Liz I look forward to your comments on the grand canyon. I was there as a kid but would like to go back with DH. However I am not up for a hike up and down and not even up for the mule ride they used to have. So I wonder how much time one can spend there. Is there a way to get to the canyon floor without a mule or hiking boots?

Got some chicken enchiladas from the health food deli. Quite good. they are made with the leftover roast chicken so there is a lot of chicken in them and not so much glop. Though I do like glop, chicken is desirable. DH is eating at a Mexican restaurant now so there will likely be more glop brought home.

And I did get DH to go to the green waste without me yesterday. More garage room. I put shelf paper in the new bathroom yesterday and am slowly putting stuff in the drawers etc. Trying to week out the duplicates - three bottles of hydrogen peroxide, two or three of various toiletries etc. Less stuff needed.

CC have you made a decision about where to move yet? That cute town in Tennessee? Maybe you have posted but I missed it. Do tell. I can't imagine a big move right now but if not now, when?

Anybody buy that chicken meat from costco that they take from the roast chickens? Seems like a good idea but freezer space needed.

I am kind of done with the olympics. Hockey does not do it.

More later only if I do anything interesting. Don't hold your breath..

Yeah, I have Olympic burnout too.

It seems like hikes and mules are still the way to go but we are taking a 3+ hour bus tour on Monday morning to get an overview and figure it out. I shall report back!
