It's late into the morning, but I'm still snuggled under my covers. I've been awake for awhile, but being that its close to zero again outside, this is an awesome place to be.

I don't really have many plans for this weekend, and that's okay. I've been running as hard as I can during the week, so taking it easy feels just great.

No plans for the Super Bowl. Some friends used to host a party, but they moved right before Covid.

Have a restorative weekend everyone!

Unlike Diamond D, I have too much on my plate this weekend, but that's generally the case. I have scheduled a day of no commitments on February 21. I'm looking forward to that.

Decompression #3 - check! Felt really odd afterwards again. I swear it releases some type of bad mojo.

So, BFF of almost 40 years went through some old slides. He shared a file of slides he converted. Oh, boy.... talk about hindsight! My body dysmorphia was already firmly rooted by my 20s. I wish I had been able to understand what I really looked like and appreciated my body and myself for who I was back then. There is a picture of me standing in the water with Diamond Head in the background. At that time my great aunt had told me a few weeks prior that I should be very careful about my eating because I could not afford to gain a single pound. I'll post on TT. It will help you understand the pressure of body image I grew up with.

Anyone else afraid of being hungry? In my work that is one of the things that has really hit home for me. Hungry means deprivation to me, not just a signal of time to eat. I think deep down I believe I can't really lose weight without that feeling of full on deprivation.

That's where my head is today.... Hmmm.....

Hope everyone has a glorious day. We are in full blown spring here. Does not bode well for our water situation, but I will enjoy the weather, regardless.

It's kind of freeing to not have plans! So far I've emptied the dishwasher, cleaned the inside of the fridge, shook all the throw rugs, swept the dining room, kitchen and foyer, scrubbed down what little countertop I have and washed some clothes :) But somehow it feels different if I don't think I HAVE to do it.

Peps, you look great in your pictures. I think we can probably all identify with that feeling of looking at old pictures and feeling so sad that the person in them didn't appreciate just how great they looked at that moment...

So hot here still. Yuck.

More grout cleaner was delivered yesterday, so I think I'll try to finish that project today.

I'm getting a Hungryroot delivery today in hopes of reining in my eating...

Happy Saturday!

You know it is funny but I used to look back at pictures of me at this weight and think that I didn't look to bad. In fact the first time I joined WW my goal was only 5 pounds less than I am now. So why am I unhappy with my weigh? And yes Peps, I am ALWAYS worried about being hungry when my next meal will be. I hate that.

Yesterday we had another good hike and a pretty healthy dinner - I had 2 turkey meatballs in a great fresh marinara sauce.

Oh and we booked our wedding in Key West yesterday! On my birthday (3/16) at 6 pm on the beach. We already had booked a hotel and nice restaurant for that night so there will be two celebrations. It will be just the two of us, the officiant, and a photographer. My bouquet and a boutonnière are included so I have to pick my bouquet out of about 35 choices soon - I have narrowed it down to 4. It's becoming real, though it won't fully feel that way until we tell the kids.

We are heading back to Scottsdale now after a stop at Montezuma's National Park. We are staying in our little condo for Super Bowl and will be grilling a nice meal for ourselves there on Valentines Day. No crowds for us.

Have a safe and Healthy Saturday!

Awww, it sounds so beautiful, just the 2 of you, on a beach, and flowers.

Greetings all

OK OH you eat this and you are in big trouble.

THE BATHROOM IS DONE!! Its terrific and beautiful. I am so pleased with how the colors came out with the floor, shower surround and cabinets. Taupey beige with flecks and brushed nickel. I will try to post a picture. I took the maiden voyage shower last night. Sweet! Lots of room at eye level for shampoo and stuff, grab bars just where I wanted and a place to sit though I did not do that. Inspector has to come but no big deal. And no tub edge to climb over. Of course, now the whole rest of the house looks like crap. I would love a new kitchen but I am not yet prepared for two weeks of hammering and keeping the dogs in jail.

Liz so glad the wedding is coming together and the plans are underway. Yay - perfect to have private event and then party. Better tell the kids. They may have figured it out already.

DD so glad you got to snooze late. Me too. No contractors today. Staying in a warm bed has its perks. Better with a dog or two.

Gallery duty tomorrow until 4 then home for the super bowl. Studio buddy will come by. We sort of like the Bengals but don't really care. Making goulash, not the cincinnati chili that DH wanted but its the same stuff mixed differently.

Yeah Peps fear of hunger is a thing. I can only remember being super hungry about twice in my life - once on a 10 hour flight to Japan and once on a bus ride in and out of Denali national park. No food for sale. We were about to mug a little kid for his skittles. Maybe its not fear of hunger so much as fear of unavailability of food and the resulting comfort. Must consider this.

But Peps you look so great in those pictures! Why did we spend youth feeling crappy about our bodies. Come to think of it, why do we still do that?

Not much else. DH is busy helping all our friends with new iPads, iMacs a mohu tv antennae and other electronic adventures. All of these people are 75plus years old. Nerds are very useful.

ok lets see if this goes.
