Sedona has got to be one of the most breathtaking places I have ever been! Wow! The drive here from Flagstaff was just as awe-inspiring. Once we checked in at 4, we just stayed here in our little suite and watched the sunset from the front porch. This morning we will have an early breakfast, then take a Pink Jeep Tour at 10 (and poke around town afterwards). I can see why you would consider living here CC. Such a cute town and unlimited hiking (we will hike tomorrow).

Time to get cleaned up. Have a safe and healthy Thursday!

Good morning!

Same old, same old here. The weather is utterly glorious. I woke up to a warm breeze and it was almost 60 degrees outside just after 6 am.

Spoiled Charley this morning. LOL.... I took her out to potty, but really wasn't ready to get up yet, so after she peed I brought her into bed for some cuddle time. She was such a good puppy and stayed happily cuddled up for 15 minutes. I'm sure she would have lasted longer had I not wanted to get up.

This morning my neck is sore from yesterday's decompression treatment. It's actually close to more than comfortably sore. It hurts I am understanding why I should not be working out during treatments. Still..... BOOOOOOO!

Weight is fine. Eating.... some choices I am pleased about - other choices not so much. Yesterday over the course of the entire day I ate a lot of sweets: 2 fig newtons, 2 kisses, 2 shortbread cookies, 2 chocolate chip cookies, and a dish of ice cream..... As it was happening it didn't seem like much in isolation, but added up during the day I was a bit taken aback. Sugar really is problematic for me!

Liz, glad you are loving Sedona! It is much prettier than the Phoenix Scottsdale area.

Shirl, hope you are holding up.

Greetings all

Its early for me but I am up to supervise the contractors. They actually need no supervision other than for me to tell them where to put the grab bars. Plumber comes to put in the faucets and such and somewhere in orbit is a new toilet. Meanwhile I am making coffee for the Jamaican guys and listening to them chatter in Patois which I don't understand but enjoy listening to.

Yay Liz glad you are enjoying Sedona. I have not been for 30 years but recall it as stunning - all those big giant rock formations and so red. Is it still kind of quaint and hippy-is? Your place looks awesome. Doesn't get any better. We actually did a horse ride all those years ago and it was fun to go through the desert (on a horse with no name LOL). Enjoy.

Peps glad you have a snuggle puppy. One of the great joys in life - warm bed plus warm puppy. Poppy gets in the bed for a bit now in the evenings but still sleeps in the crate and hasn't fussed about it so far. Dogs are in the kitchen jail today for the contractors.

I did make the won tons in broth last night. A very tasty and satisfying dinner with little prep and not too horrible in the carb or calorie department.

A friend of mine recently had a major surgery for a pancreatic tumor. It went well but her post surgical diet is kind of like a bariatric post surgery diet. So she wants advice. I told her about the Fairlife protein which tastes so much better. Ditto greek yogurt mixed with sugar free pudding.

Wow watched olympic skating last night. Nathan is awesome and so deserved to win. You could see it in his eyes when he began. I am thinking of writing him a fan letter. How quaint of me.

Must consider dinner tonight. The idea of a small amount of pasta with a lot of vegetables is appealing. We will see.

Hoping for the inaugural shower tonight. DH is off setting up someones computer. Its going to be 70 degrees here which is downright hot for us. Cheers all

Cue Cranky CC... The hot Santa Ana winds kicked up in the middle of the night and sent me scrambling to shut the windows and turn on the a/c. In February. Ugh. We often get one good heatwave in February (I recall well over 100 one year). Today should get to 90.

I took my car in to be serviced this morning, so it'll be nice to get that out of the way.

I've been working on a new treasurer's report format for my non-profit role. It's actually making the numbers mean something to me, which is kind of a relief as I felt so over my head.

Otherwise, I have therapy this afternoon and will pick up my car late this afternoon.

Take care!

It was spooky warm here this morning, too. But not even close to AC warm. Just odd to be waking up to February clear sky weather in the 60s before the sun comes up.
