We have been watching the Olympics too. I rarely was able to see the good stuff like the skating on the east coast because it was always late in the program (past my bedtime). The time difference really helps in viewing it here. I have always enjoyed the Winter Olympics more than summer but especially this year after the Covid delays. I know it must be hard for some of the athletes to not have fans there. But I do like the way they have the people at home able to interact with the athletes after they compete.
Yesterday was a relatively quiet day with the main activities being pool, packing, dinner, and Olympics. In about 90 minutes we leave for Sedona. We are going to Flagstaff first, then to our B&B which is supposed to have a fantastic view of the mountains in the late afternoon.
Have a safe and healthy Wednesday!

Liz, I'm glad you enjoying exploring the desert. Please be take care to watch the weather. You don't want to be in the desert or in the canyons during a down pour. It can be very dangerous. A co worker and her husband lost their lives on a canyon hike in Arizona. They were trapped and drown in a flash flood. Easterners often don't realize how heavy rains become floods within minutes in the desert.
I was exhausted yesterday afternoon. I slept for an hour and a half. Then I groomed Blitz. Of course, dinner ended up being quite late..... I am having luck including fruit in my days. Just need to work on upping the veggies. A daily salad is not quite enough. Veggies are so NOT my thing! Is it any wonder I struggle with healthy eating????
Not much else except for the normal ponderings.... over committed, not enough regular rest, obesity, etc......
Luckily, I have a houseful of dogs that bring me joy!
oh, CC, any news on Fozzie?
Dogs are such joy aren't they? We will watch the weather - hadn't really thought about flash floods. Luckily the forecasts are all for dry weather right now.

Greetings all
I am currently a hostage to the contractors and house keeper. Noisy machines and junk everywhere and the dogs have to stay outside and old Chip had been barking. Its complete chaos which I so do not like. But house keeper will finish soon and hopefully the contractors by end of week. I wish I had a "cone of silence" like the old Get Smart TV show. Guess I could do some headphones. Oh well, this too shall pass.
Yep Liz, be careful of the flash floods. They do happen. But enjoy Sedona. Its an awesome place and the drive from Scottsdale to Sedona is really interesting. Vast changes in landscape along the way. Isn't Flagstaff higher altitude? Have fun.
Peps get some rest. Does Blitz have shows this weekend? No doubt airedale grooming for a given weekend starts weeks or months ahead so dog hair is correct length. Like most terriers I guess - I remember that with my cairn. Ditto border terriers; one spends so much time grooming a breed that is supposed to look "natural" LOL.
Today is the day of the drawer knobs. I didn't think I wanted any as we had none before but these drawers are a bit stiff and my creaky hands might need them. So another decision to make and I have forgotten what all the other hardware looks like. And a new toilet must be procured at contractors expense since they cracked the old one. It is now sitting out in the front yard.
Dinner tonight will be some won ton soup. Frozen won tons and a can of broth. I have been craving asian food lately and none of the restaurants around here are any good though there is a pho house I have not tried.
I get frequent films and pictures of Walter, the puppy who went to the retired nurse in San Francisco. Boy does he have a great life! Lots of days at the beach and play buddies. Hope to see him in the spring.
Thats about it. I am sort of treading water just hanging around the house, It will be good to get this done.

I hate construction noise and commotion too. At least it will be done soon.
Yes, Flagstaff is about 2000 feet higher than Sedona so is colder. We are at Walnut Canyon but I just wimped out going down because of my fear of heights. Mike is going to do it and I'll see the pictures.

I got an email about setting up a home visit from Fozzie's rescue, but haven't heard back after I answered. We'll see. If it's meant to be it will be. If it's not, there is an even better dog meant for me one day!
Trying to begin the process of improving my eating. How's that for easing into it!? It's 90 here today and I'm realizing those pounds I gained shot me out of my warmer weather wear. Pants, sweaters, and sweatshirts cover a multitude of sins.
Liz enjoy Sedona. I think that might be where I concentrate my move search. It's so beautiful, has all the hiking I could ever want, I know a few couples who live there in the winter, and isn't in CA! The problem is there is little home inventory for sale. The one I like the best is nearly $6mil. Haha! I wish.
Hope you all are doing well!
Whoa! $6M!

Hello all, feeling very tired, midweek, mid winter doldrums. I'm leaving for my Florida quick visit, one week from Friday.
As I mentioned, we joined Planet Fitness. It has taken me a couple of days to figure out how to set up my account, get it onto the app, so I can use my phone as a touch less id card when I check in. I would prefer a pass I wear on a lanyard that I could scan... I generally don't bring my phone in with me, but I guess I'll figure out what to do with it. Maybe I need to buy some new leggings with a decent phone pocket. Hmmm, maybe I need new workout clothes. Or maybe I just need to put on my existing workout clothes and go workout...
I've been trying very hard to eat at a calorie deficit. Nothing extreme, but I need to do something to try and release some of this extra weight. My body is so very greedy about its fat, and never gives in easily when its time to burn some. I get super tired, as if my body is yelling, We're burning our fat, go lay down!!! Its annoying. I am telling my body, there's plenty of fat to spare and I know how to make more if we need it. Yes, working out would probably help with this also.
Time to make dinner, or I guess, set it out, as dinner will be leftover tacos from Monday. I love when I can cook once, eat twice. Just need to chop up some tomatoes.
Here's to finishing up hump day, and speeding to the weekend!!
