Hearing the 60s song "Heatwave" by Martha and the Vandellas in my head on repeat this week! It's supposed to be 88 for the Super Bowl on Sunday.

I had a fun dinner with my friend, but I was sooo tired. I got home and got ready for bed, then looked at the clock thinking it must be 9:30 or so. It was 7:45! I gave in anyway and went to bed.

More work to do on my floors today and some stuff to do for my treasurer role. A walk would be good too. I think getting out of that habit has contributed to my rapid weight gain.

Be well all!

You beat me! I deleted it and am pasting my post here. Good that you had an enjoyable evening. Good luck with those floors. Doesn't sound like fun but they will look great when you are done.

We have been in Arizona for a week now. Beautiful place to hike, but my heart is in Hawaii still. I will have to go back there at some point.

But our hike yesterday was fantastic and very different. Justice did great again though we did have to lift him up some bigger rock steps and actually pass him over some areas. He is so trusting and doesn't squirm at all. We went up almost 1000 feet in elevation, much more than our prior hikes and we were scrambling over rocks and through tunnels in the highest loop. Really cool but my right knee needs a rest. Our meal at Ruth Chris was perfection - we had a really private corner booth and a very attentive waiter. Mike had said it was our anniversary (18 - he didn't mention that it was months, not years LOL), so they put anniversary confetti on the table and we got a free dessert which came home along with enough leftovers for both of us to have another meal.

Today we are going to poke around Tempe, then tomorrow we leave for 3 days in Sedona. We will be taking a Jeep tour on Thursday and hike around on our own otherwise.

We are making progress on wedding plans. Probably a Florida beach ceremony with a few local friends at most in April with dinner at our beach club afterwards. Then a party in the fall on Cape Cod at a water view venue (I have been looking into options - getting a date will likely be the toughest part). And when we can do it, a honeymoon in Tahiti. Mike seems happy with the whole concept now and we have been actively talking about money/housing/legal plans. We also need to figure out rings and I need to find a dress to wear for the wedding and party though I think I have it narrowed down - off-white and knee length probably.

Time to fold the laundry. Have a safe and healthy Tuesday!

Tough day at school. My mini juvenile delinquent is recruiting others to be his weapons against my little cognitively challenged boy. Papa Bear was awakened and every one of my students sensed my displeasure during a class meeting before lunch time. My 20 minutes "talk" boiled down to: THIS **** STOPS NOW! END OF SUBJECT!!!!!!

My spinal decompression was interesting....It's kind of like old fashioned traction meets the digital computerized age. My lower back is a little sore today. One little thing the chiropractor forgot to mention is NO WORKING OUT during the treatment. Yeah, that went over like a lead balloon! A good patient, I cancelled my sessions for the next two weeks, but I'm not sure I can manage the whole month.

Puppy had a much easier night last night. Once she settled down she was quiet for the entire night. YAY!

CC, I can't even imagine getting into bed at that early hour!

Liz, glad the wedding plans are progressing and taking shape.

Not much else here..... except we are getting our FABULOUS February prelude to spring. The almonds and ornamental plums are all in full bloom and gorgeous. We are supposed to hit the upper 60s possibly low 70s this weekend! Delicious!

Such a great teacher to pick up on what the class juvenile is cooking up and letting all the kids know it will not be tolerated. The earlier they learn acceptance of all the better. You are a role model for these kids so your feelings will be heard.

It is 72 here and very nice and warm at the pool. I'm still marveling at how different the air is from my norm when it is cool or warm.

Greetings all

Its warm here which means the rest of California must be HOT. CC, I am with you - it just seems so wrong for the Super Bowl to be played in tropical weather. There should be snow. We will likely watch though I was hoping for the 49ers to play.

Good on you Peps for heading off the brat kid. Needs to be done. The bully kid from my grade school became a cop! Seems like empathy needs to be taught more and more these days. Are kids not learning it at home? Glad the puppy is settling down. Hope the chiropractic program is helpful. Its sure helped me in the past. Stay well.

Yay Liz on the wedding plans. Sounds wonderful. Tahiti. Perfect.

Chicken pot pie tonight - the one from the good deli. I don't feel like I am eating a lot but its carbs stuff and not good.

Remodeling day 7. I am still hearing hammers and saws. Need to go look at the floor and see if what I picked out on the internet looks ok. What I chose in person is not available and had to substitute.

Watched the men's skating last night. It was so awesome. I felt able to see the distinctions between the good skaters and the super good ones. And those snow boarders were positively in orbit! Cant imagine how they do that. Looking forward to more olympics though the curling event was a big yawn.

Stopped in the studio which is humming and then for prescription dog food and a few groceries. Then to accountants for the studio tax return. Seems like all I do is run errands. Good thing I like my car. We charged it last night and the range has increased with the new battery.

Why is my freezer completely packed with stuff yet there is nothing to eat?
