Back from the colonoscopy. One polyp, so I get to go again in 5 years. Boo! It took 5 sticks to get an IV in, also, Boo! But other than that, all is fine. I'm going to take a nap, so more later :)

This will probably be a great nap ! Liz , hope you slept in ! High tides at flood level today, so brought Sadie to our new on site doggie park to continue to scent and adjust.

No sleeping in and my body is SO CONFUSED by the time change. Sunday in Hawaii was 5 hours earlier than Massachusetts on Monday, but here we are 3 hours later than Hawaii and 2 hours earlier than Massachusetts. So when I got up at 7 am this morning (daylight) it was equivalent to 4 am in Hawaii and to 9 am in Massachusetts. Yesterday we got up at 5 am in Massachusetts, which was midnight in Hawaii and 3 am here. Sunday we got up at 5 am in Hawaii, which was 10 am in Massachusetts and 8 am here. WOW! I think that means that on Arizona time I got up at 8 am on Sunday, stayed up all night prior to Monday, got up at 3 am Tuesday, and 7 am today. No wonder I feel a bit foggy!

Fairly good results and you don't have to repeat for 5 years. Yeah!

We are here in Scottsdale. We landed at 6 pm and were at the condo after some food shopping and dinner pick-up at about 8:30. It was a little hairy finding it in a big place in the dark but we somehow stumbled on it in our second building try. Today we need to pick up a few things and orient ourselves to the area. Oh and also pick up the prescription that I left in Hawaii which CVS here just refilled for me using GoodRX.

I am feeling sluggish from 2.5 days of travel and weird sleep but it is time to get out and about.

Have a safe and healthy Wednesday!

Greetings all

DD so glad you are done with that "**** show". One polyp aint bad. When DH went in, the guy after him had 14 polyps!!! DH had been on the five year plan but now gets to go 10 years because he had none. Whoo Hooo! We know we are old when we talk about our polyps. Sorry you have five sticks. No fun. Get a good nap.

Liz cross country flights twice are a major blow to circadian rythyms indeed! Rest up and have fun.

Day 3 of remodel here. The work crew is Jamacan and its so fun to listen to their chat. Nice guys. I rushed off to get paint chips since they must do all painting before the floor goes in. So many shades of beige but it has to be just right. The onyx stone surround and vanity is called "tiramisu" and is a speckled beige. Kind of toward the yellow end but must check. And now the toilet in the other bathroom is leaking.

Just had to go to the bank to get a new debit card since mine expired and I didn't receive a new one. At least they could make and issue the card on the spot. Got a few groceries including some liver sausage for the dogs as they are very put upon right now due to kitchen exile. 7 more business days of this not fun. Plumber is now under the house redoing some stuff so the new shower will drain better.

DH is like a little kid watching and interacting with the workers. Its all a big show to him. Personally I would like to jus****ch tv and be awakened when its over.

Not much else. Dentist in a couple of hours. Had some good deli vegetable and bean soup for lunch. Yummy.

Cheers. Diane S

I love Jamaican accents. They are so wonderful to listen to. MIL had several companions who were Jamaican - such a warm, family-oriented culture (with a great lilt to their English).

I rarely do an overnight trip. Packing felt too minimal. I took what I needed, even double checking. It still felt like "not enough". LOL.

Liz, I will be in Phoenix by 9 pm... I won't even be in AZ a full 24 hours. Talk about a quick trip! I will think of you. Sorry we will be so close with no time to meet! (If you want to go to a dog show.... LOL)

Really upped my protein yesterday. Seems to have helped flush some water out. I was down 2 pounds today. I did some calculating. My MINIMUM protein intake for my specific needs should be 150 grams of protein. Optimal level is closer to 200 grams. I can't begin to tell you how hard that is for me to achieve without supplementing with shakes!

Speaking of shakes, I discovered Fairlife protein "shakes". LOVE THEM! 30 grams of protein (albeit lowfat milk rather than whey isolate) and I don't have a gut reaction to it like I do some of the whey protein drinks. Plus, it is $4 LESS than Premier Protein at Costco! Can't go wrong with that!

I believe we have settled on new puppy's name. She will be called Charley. It just fits so well... She's super pretty, feminine, powerful, smart, independent and sassy. Everything a Charley girl should be!

I really like Fair life Protein Drinks. They still have a bit of protein drink aftertaste, but they are the best taking shake I've had. I warmed one up and put an espresso shot in it, and that was tasty. I also blend it with ice and some banana once in awhile.

Yep, I second the Fairlife protein drinks. They taste GOOD or at least the chocolate does. Maybe I can even get into the habit of drinking them. I think CC had mentioned these and I saw them at costco and bought some. Don't know why but they sure taste better than the other ones.

xxx Charley.
