Good morning! Have you seen the projections for snow at my Cape Cod location? 18-24 inches with blizzard conditions. Thank goodness my house has a generator which kicks in automatically so DS and potentially SIL can be warm (and Justice). Thank goodness we don't arrive there until Monday morning. Originally it was supposed to be Sunday morning but it was pushed back by a day which works out well. DD and her BF are celebrating their 1 year dating anniversary tonight by going out for dinner and an overnight in Providence RI. So now I am nervous about them trying to drive home in a blizzard tomorrow morning. Hopefully they will be smart and stay put if it is really bad. BTW, I think there is some possibility of a marriage proposal for them tonight. I'm already thinking about a wedding budget for her LOL.

Our hike on the coastline was amazing yesterday. So beautiful and so cool to see from the ground what we had seen the day before in the helicopter. It was a challenging hike though with a LOT of uphill and downhill over rocks, mud, and a river at one point. Mike and I agreed that it was the upper limit of what we are capable of but we did well and feel good this morning.

ETA: We had Mai Tais at Tahiti Nui, a little restaurant featured in George Clooney's movie Descendant.

We leave in an hour to fly from Kauai to Oahu for our last 2 nights. We will get organized this afternoon so we can go to the beach tomorrow for the last time.

Have a safe and healthy Friday!

Last day in MI! I'm heading out in the morning toward TN this time. Slow wend back home. It's been a good visit. The compression socks are no longer needed, thus my job is done, and my dad is doing really well.

We've got a small amount of sun right now. Woohoo!

Liz, my only helicopter ride was on Kauai when I was 16 and we had a former Vietnam war pilot who was insane. I got in and he handed out airsickness bags. He would be laughing maniacally and fly straight at the side of a cliff, then at the last minute fly straight up and over it. Everyone on it nearly kissed the ground when we got off. I can't image ever voluntarily getting on one again! My dad and friend felt the same!

OMG, I would not have survived it!!! I was in complete panic for the first 10 minutes with a very calm pilot!

Have a good trip home to warmer weather. I'm glad your Dad is doing so well.

I am so very tired, and happy the work week is behind me. We are resting a bit before we get in the car for a 5 mile drive.

BFF said goodbye this morning, she won't be here when we return Sunday. What do you say to a guest who has overstayed by weeks? I love you, but get out? Anyhow, she will be back in June. We, on the other hand, will be traveling after June 10, so she can stay or not stay, we won't be here. If she house sits, the price we pay is that she will break a few things.. a lamp, a wine glass, my sugar canister, my vacuum cleaner, all are among her numerous victims.

New month, new semester coming. Everyday brings us closer to spring.

Liz I hope all your family survives the blizzard, it sounds wild!
