Good morning from luxury in Kauai. Mike's son rented this place which is a 3 bedroom luxury residence in a gorgeous resort. It has an amazing pool complete with waterfalls and slides and is right on the ocean. More square footage then my Florida place!

We had a prix fixe meal at a farm to table restaurant complete with wine pairings last night. So good (and Mike finished what I couldn't eat). Tonight will be another farm to table place.

But in the meantime we are going in the open helicopter tour. I'll let you know if I survive it and how much I am able to open my eyes... We leave in 2 hours.

DD, my pictures are basically my travel diary. DH used to keep one when we travelled but I was never good at that, nor would I likely read it. Mike and I plan to create a printed photograph book after our trip. It will be hard to pick the photos! The one taken in the lobby here yesterday looks like a postcard.

I am off to get cleaned up and dressed for our next adventure. Have a safe and healthy Wednesday!

Unpredicted snow today and now windy. Brr.

Not a lot going on here. The neighbors stopped by on their way out of town for a chat. It was nice to catch up. My dad worried that he might have a blood clot in his leg, so they got him checked at the hospital. He's fine, no clot. We're going out to dinner tonight I think. I went to the bank to sign paperwork as treasurer for a new petty cash account. And I'm learning about land trusts as it's something the group is exploring getting into.

I might start heading home on Saturday. The weather looks clear at this time.

Good Morning All

Back after a few days away - much needed talk time with DH. The theatre & 2 nights away was my birthday & christmas gift from DH. I loved seeing Moulin Rouge! By far one of the best shows I have seen. Things are marginally better - it felt good to verbalise the pain and hurt and there is a better understanding that there is a lot of work needing to be done on his behalf. The ball is firmly in his court. He leaves for Brisbane in an hour and will be gone for 6 weeks. I will fly up mid Feb for a weekend as I want to see our old neighbours.

Work is crazy after taking one day off so Im juggling like a clown

I loved, loved that show. I saw it a few years ago in Boston, and I will see it again this spring in Minneapolis. Hard to describe, so much going on, including all the songs worked into the story!
