Still a winter wonderland outside! More lake effect snow today. I can see the ice is creeping out into Lake Michigan much more than since I've been here. It helps that it's 14 degrees.

Today we're going to ge****er from the spring. It's a well that runs non-stop year round (the Californian in me always wants to shut off "the tap"). It's an artesian well and most people around here get their drinking water from it as regular well water around here can be full of iron and sulfur no matter how much you spend on water purification systems. We have 4 big jugs we fill up for coffee, drinking, and cooking. Very pioneer like, but people around here just assume you do it.

Aside from that, I have a board meeting this evening, but that's all. The cleaning person is coming, so I have the same "clean up for the housecleaning folks" thing here too.

Hugs all around...

Not much going on here after my whirlwind weekend. I did decide to keep a pup - at least for now.... Just what the crazy dog man needs.... another puppy! This one is a pistola, too! At least she should be a lot of fun to show. Her registered name will be Kairk's Midnight Sun (after the classic song..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-f53xo_NNF8) As for her "real" name.... No clue yet.

Here she is... the former Miss Yellow.....

Adorable!! Hmm, sun related names (appropriate given she was Miss Yellow!)... I think you should call her Aurora.

So sweet! As I said, I think I would have had to keep a puppy from each litter!

We are off to Kauai in about 15 minutes. I love these short flights between islands!

I am looking forward to seeing our third/last island visit. We have a helicopter tour tomorrow (eek, my fear of heights says). We are doing a more rigorous hike on Thursday. But in between we are staying at a fancy resort. The condo we have used as a base here in Oahu is rather basic.

Time to go! Mike is putting the luggage in the car (10 minutes earlier than planned).

Have a safe and healthy Tuesday!

So glad he was finally found and served, so you can get to the next steps, and be free of him.

Liz, do you keep any kind of travel journal? You've had so many adventures lately! Helicopter! Hope it was way more fun than scary. (I can't imagine how it wouldn't be a little scary, and a lot breathtaking, in the good way.)

CC, your photo makes me feel right at home. I am jealous of 14degrees though. Today started -15, tomorrow mornings forecast is -20. In order to close school, the temperature has to be -25, or the wind chill -35. This morning the windchill was -32. So close.

Peps the pup is adorable, how could you not keep her when you look at that face.

We are going to Madison, WI to see our son this weekend. Its about a 5 hour drive. I am so looking forward to being alone with DH. It seems we haven't been alone for weeks. There's been so much happening, we haven't even had time for pillow talk. It will be lovely.

Greetings all

I can so relate to cleaning up for the cleaner. Takes us quite awhile just to pick up all the debris so real cleaning can be done. Get all the junk off the counter tops, remove baskets of laundry, pick up shoes and dog toys. on and on.

CC so quaint that you all go get drinking water from a spring!!! Yeah water in that part of the world has so much iron. I can remember seeing water that looked "rusty".

Gallery duty this afternoon. We are only open until 4 during the winter so less work for me. I may have a friend visit as she has just moved back to this area and lives a block away and has no car just yet.

Peps I think you should name the puppy "Sunny" or Sunshine.

Must come up with a plan for dinner. Methinks it might involve pizza.

Liz hope the helicopter ride was fun. I need major amounts of dramamine to do that and even then it was close. Hope you are more seaworthy than me. I practically get carsick on an elevator.

The fog was heavy here this morning but seems to be clearing. Sun = better sales at the gallery. More for me to do and therefor fewer crosswords. I must start on this Wordle game.

Cheers. Diane S
