I can't believe I am first! We only have 8 days left here in Hawaii so we are entering our last week. The time has gone super fast!

DD is at the wedding of the friend for whom I was the stand-in Mom for the engagement and bachelorette parties. They are getting married in 90 minutes outside at an Inn in NH. I checked the weather and it is sunny there but 12 degrees. Brrrr!

The luau last night was a lot of fun. It was close by and is a smaller, family run venue so it was easy to see everything. I need to edit and combine a bunch of videos of the entertainment and will post it on FB once I do.

Today is a walk, beach, picking up Mike's son (coming back from Maui), then to dinner at the resort here. Tomorrow we are repeating the Diamond Head hike with his son, then going to Hanauma Bay which is supposed to be a must-see here.

Have a safe and healthy Saturday!

Greetings all

Liz only 8 more days!! ?? Seems like lots of time. Hanauma bay is a must. I was there a very long time ago but the most spectacular snorkel spot I have ever seen. Enjoy.

CC good on you for helping your dad with those socks. I have seen zippered ones advertised but cant imagine that is much easier. Stay warm in the big house. Hope it warms up there.

We are enjoying a warm sunny spell here on the north coast. But beware, lack of rain and snow means a bad fire season this summer.

Replacement battery on our electric car has been ordered and should arrive fairly soon. Then we can go back to full charging. This recall has not been bad for us as we never drive all that far. I do love the electric car - CC no gaslline on the gloves. No visit to gas station. Ever...

Peps enjoy the pups. I will be seeing little Batgirl later today and will report how she has turned out. she is allegedly a real "character" of a dog as she always was.

I napped away the day yesterday and did not get the laundry done. Its still here but started. Must get organized. Well, maybe later. Cheese crisps to prepare for the memorial service tomorrow. No clue how many to make.

I bought some baby broccoli so I guess I am forced to eat something healthy. Actually I would eat it all the time except DH gripes.

New seasons of our beloved tv shows are starting. There are new episodes of Ozark. We watched one last night but I am having a hard time remembering who killed who and why. Need Clliffs notes.

Thinking of Cliff's notes and what if someone wrote a Cliffs notes of my life. It might be: born, grew, gained weight, lost weight, gained weight, lost weight....hmmm.

Stay warm all.

Liz, it sounds like your introduction to Hawaii has been excellent! I went to a tiki themed bar after the performance last night and had a Mai Tai in your honor. Very tasty!

Diane, enjoy your reunion with Batgirl! It would seem to be rewarding to match your pups with a good home, but maybe a little bittersweet too. We bought our lab, Bella, from a friend's Dad, and we were always able to keep him up to date, and mostly tell him how much she enhanced our family. We did so love that dog.

CC you may not have a lot to report, but abiding with your Dad is a very important, meaningful way to pass these days.

I had a busy day. I got my hair cut and colored, I thought it turned out very well. I feel "fresh". I met my Aussie sister and Mom for lunch. Aussie sister's husband was in a motorcycle accident several years ago, and complications from a brain injury manifest more and more every year. Its a tough life. He was a confident, very Zen guy, now he is easily frustrated and anxious a lot of the time. My Mom seemed okay mentally, physically, things are very challenging.

I got home, and crashed on the couch for 4 hours!!! The family room sofa is comfortable enough, and I was dead to the world. I feel so good right now! I actually feel like I will be able to sleep tonight, so my sleep bank must have been very low.

Another day of not " dieting" but feel okay overall about food intake. I don't know if I should be trusted with intuitive eating though.
