DD's -14 degrees makes our 16 degrees look downright balmy! I've decided here that wind is the primary factor in whether I'm comfortable or not. Yesterday was so windy my face was in pain walking to the barn. The day before no wind, I was fine outside for short periods with no coat and a sweatshirt on.
I am sleeping so well here, it makes me happy. My dad is still doing great. My food is better being in the same house with 2 people (it's too treacherous to get to my little house with ice, so I'm in the big house). It cuts down on my secret snacking. Fear of judgment from others is such a big factor in how I behave in all areas of my life. Argh.
Not much else to say! Hope everyone is doing well.
I am glad your Dad continues to improve. Interesting comment on snacking as being afraid to eat the wrong thing or too much in front of other people is a big deterrent for me too, which is why I used to hide cheat foods and binge when others weren't looking. Interesting that though my weight is up by 20+ it has been stable at this level for a few months and I have not felt the need to binge.
It is 6:40 am - off to kayak and snorkel. Have a safe and healthy Thursday!

Very tired now though! We are off to Mamas Fish House in an hour for linner, then back to Oahu on the 6:30 plane.

It is such a trip anticipating an ice storm down here! People are so freaked out and closing things right and left. Sadie and I had a great beach adventure today. I forgot her treats and her recall was on point just with love and telling her how great she is !

Well, I guess I will gloat about the 56 degree sunny weather we are having here today. It's really very pleasant! Also, perfect for the puppies to be out in the afternoon sunshine. It should get up to 60 by 3 pm. YAY!
Food, eating, bleh..... Not bad, not good.... just bleh.....
CC, now I understand about the collected recycling. I couldn't quite figure out why you had recycling to deal with since you left MI some months ago. Once again, you are the dutiful daughter.
Lost another puppy person yesterday. I have to chuckle that it made me relax, cuz now I have some flexibility.... LOL! I have plenty of wonderful homes lined up, including apparently the lt. governor of Colorado!
Pups to the vet for health checks, shots, and microchips today. Hope Ron is home to help me wrangle 7 puppies into the van!
CC, it is definitely the wind! There wasn't a lot of wind this morning, so the walk from my car to the school front door wasn't horrific. I've had worse walks with higher temps because the wind was fierce. Drops the wind chill pretty fast. That being said, -14 means frostbite pretty quick if skin is exposed, sometimes as quick as 15 minutes if there's wind, 30 minutes if it's calm. Can't believe none of you want to come and check it out in person!
Another decent day at work. Counting down the days until we have our 5 day weekend in St. Petersburg. Hopefully goes a little smoother than the trip to San Diego. :)
I think I need to go back to my WLS clinic and see if they have any ways to fight back against Tamoxifen. I pretty much maintained the same weight for 4 or so years, it was higher than I wanted, but it was not a lot of work to keep it there, and I felt good. But since radiation finished, I've been on a rocket ride upwards.
