Good morning! Well, I got my first fall out of the way. It was really icy yesterday and the driveway just looked damp, but no, that was an ice rink. With full cartoon-flailing arms and legs, down I went. My thumb hurt yesterday, but feels fine today. The miracle of reparative sleep. Roads were really icy too so I'm thrilled I pushed through driving Sunday. A friend I was talking to slid 300 feet right through a red light trying to get to the Grand Rapids airport.
I did manage to make it to the grocery store and stock up. I made chicken noodle soup (I make great CNSoup if I do say so myself). Hopefully reversing some of the road trip food damage.
My dad is still doing great and comes home today. I'm so relieved.
Anyway, hope everyone is doing well!
Great news about your Dad and no broken bones from your fall ! Had to come home to change clothes before furniture shopping. I had Sadie, leashed on the beach as I was ready to shop and was wearing a long winter coat. An irresponsible dog owner had her untrained black lab off leash, retrieving a duck decoy from the channel. The dog left the water and ran to us full tilt, unresponsive to owner's attempts to recall. Jumped on me, in and out between my legs several times and got Sadie wet too. It took a couple of minutes for the owner to get to us and leash her dog. She saw I was soaked and apologized but geeze...it's 38 degrees and I get to choose when Sadie and I have water play ! Rant over !

Good morning! Ocean Diane, so sorry about the wet dog fiasco. Maddening, for sure. Nice thing about dog shows.... dogs are always on leash and generally well controlled.
CC, so glad your fall really only resulted in a bruised ego and a funny visual for story telling! Glad dad is doing so well! Does MI guy know you are back?
I had a pretty productive day yesterday. I had a great workout, played with puppies, trimmed another puppy, got Blitz's flatwork trimmed, made us a nice lunch, and had time for a massage in the evening. After the massage I picked up grilled chicken from El Pollo Loco for dinner. YUM.
My food day was better really quite good, too. Now to string a few more of those days together. I do think admitting that I am worried about trying to actually lose weight a different way is helping me be more at ease. I keep trying to remember I am turning 58 really soon and that I need to remember 58 is 58, not 20 something.
Greetings All
Whew CC, glad you made it safe to MI and that you were not injured falling. Slip and falls are no joke. When you reach age 65 and start medicare they start asking you if you have fallen more than twice in the past year. I used to think that is a stupid question. Not sure what they do if you answer yes. Prescribe a walker I guess.
Early-is meeting at the bank to deal with the check fraud on the gallery account. New account created. Someone stole a check out of the mail and altered it.
And CC glad your Dad is doing well. Good thing.
Peps it would be so tempting to keep a puppy. But beware. I knew a Papillion breeder who had 30. Not a good thing. And speaking of puppies, little Batgirl, the pup who went to mexico, is now back in this area with her owner so we will see her soon.
I made chicken soup too but we are sick of it. It will be on the dogs food from now on.
Scrabble today then shopping for light fixtures. Found a few options. Then I went to the wendy's drive through and got a chicken sandwich. What was I thinking? Way too much food.
Yikes Ocean Diane, wet dog in the winder!! Stay warm.
Nap needed. Later.
