Greetings from MI! I drove straight through from Tulsa yesterday because the skies were clear and the roads were dry. I'm glad I did. Today there's snow. I'm also glad I waited out a day because I drove past more cars flipped over in ditches through Missouri! I bet those people wished they had waited too.
If you're looking to make any donations, remember it's Betty White's birthday and there's a challenge to donate to animal rescue groups in honor of her hundredth birthday today.
I think I'll clean myself up and make a slow track to the grocery store as there?s not much food in the house and my eating needs an overhaul after 4 days of roadtrip food. I also need to buy new gloves because I had an unfortunate run-in with gasoline yesterday and had to throw them away. I don't know what the person before me did, but there was gas on the nozzle and all over the ground, so it was also on my shoes when I got in the car. The smell was overpowering. I ended up wiping the bottoms of my shoes with wet wipes and tossing the gloves.
Anyway, I hope everybody has a great day!
Glad you made it safely ! Sometimes, you have to go while the going is good. Miss Sadie met a new friend at the beach today, another yellow lab named Frankie. Frankie is a year old and full of pics and vinegar. Frankie reminded Sadie how much fun it is to play in the waves and Sadie taught Frankie how to roll in the sand !

I'm happy to be enjoying MLK, Jr. Day off from school! I slept for about 9 hours, with many wake ups, but I must still be in recovery mode.
CC, glad you made it without incident! Good call to wait out the snow. Ocean Diane, glad Sadie made a new friend.
I am having puppy anxiety.... meaning I am tempted to keep one of these guys for a while - grow it out, as we in the dog show world say. I need another dog like I need a hole in the head..... Plus I want to keep one of Dottie's pups from her next litter. Hopefully, I will get my head out of my azzz and forget about this idea.....
I am also focused on my hair, or lack there of, which I realize is a diversion from whatever is really bothering me - Probably weight and facing the reality that my growth in my journey around food, weight and eating has helped me acknowledge and understand. It's tough when there are so many "onion" layers to peel away to get at the core of the issues.
Going to go back to the gym today. I think I'm ready. I'll probably cough up a lung, but I need to start gaining back my normal level of fitness. Two weeks off seems like an eternity!
Other than working out, puppy trimming, a trim for Blitz and some food prep are on the docket for today.
I would be tempted to keep one from every litter!

I am so glad you made it safely. The weather has definitely been frightful on the "mainland". A tree fell on Mike's Cape Cod house (minimal damage) and friends in ***** Gorda Florida experienced a tornado which damaged many mobile homes in their park (luckily not theirs).
We are off to Maui in 2 minutes. I will report back!
Have a safe and healthy Monday!
