I'm resting in the guest room like a cat napping in the sun. My bedroom has an east exposure, but my office/ guest room has a south facing window. Its below zero today, but the sun feels lovely here.
My BFF has been occupying this room since December 13. She left yesterday to stay with her son and his family for a few days. (For many reasons, extended stays in her son's house are not feasible). She tries very hard to be a good roommate, but she has a hard time staying in her lane. It's good to have a break.
Last night I coughed and coughed, the needing to sit on the edge of the bed kind of coughing. I think it's good, as gunk seems to be moving again, instead of just sitting in my lungs. This is taking far longer to recover from than I was expecting. I thought I'd feel better after 2 days of antibiotics. I definitely don't feel any worse, and maybe somewhat better. I hope I turn the corner pretty soon.

The cough from pneumonia seems endless!
My hair gal has covid, so my appointment tomorrow is cancelled. Argh. She said it just feels like a bad cold.
Not much going on today. Still waffling over method of travel for my MI trip... Third option, fly into MN and fly back to MI with them.
Off to walk - it's beautiful out!
Greetings all
Not much going on here. Studio buddy is coming over to watch a 49ers game. Pro football is something I can take or leave but we will have a good chat. Mostly she talks and I listen. And she needs help in ordering a new computer so DH to the rescue.
DD sounds like you have found a way to sort of lizard in your home. Good deal. We have such a guest room also. Our bedroom is rather dark and dreary.
Made beef barley soup again last night. I had some meat that needed to be cooked. Such a comfort food and the dogs like it too. I had planned to go to the studio but had a bit of gut disturbance that kept me close to home. All is well.
Whoever figures out how to keep weight off and still eat pasta will be a zillionaire. Pasta seems to be my great downfall. Not bread but pasta of course glopped up with cheese and such. But after 12 years my sleeve still works.
We watched "The Power of the Dog" or whatever its called last night. Can't say I cared for it. Kind of slow movie about a bunch of stern cranky people. 2 hours of no thanks. We must find some fluffy new series to watch or its back to exploding aliens.
Finally wore the new Lands End pants yesterday. Perfect fit except I need to hem them up. And I love that they do not come with those horrible little plastic T shaped things that hold tags on. Hate those.
Thats about it here. I think this will be the winter of soups.

I loved the Power of the Dog, I watched it twice! The twist really surprised me, so I watched it again to see what foreshadowing I missed. I agree though, its a bleak movie, with sad characters, so not everyone's cup of tea.
For great fun and laughs, I can recommend Derry Girls. Set in Northern Ireland in the 1990s, about a group of girls who attend Catholic school together. Nothing ever goes quite the way they plan. :)
