I don't have much to say, just wanted to give us a place to get started. Hope everyone who was under the weather is feeling better and that those of who are vacationing are having a great time!

I'm having lunch with a group of friends today, nothing else planned.

Take care!

Enjoy lunch with your friends! As you all probably saw, Mike and I did a couple of hikes yesterday and saw some fantastic views! We also got some good exercise to somewhat offset our eating??? I do have to say that 25 pounds does make a difference when walking uphill though I didn't have any problems doing it. I could just feel that extra weight. Last night we went to an old fashioned restaurant on a harbor. They had two men playing guitar and singing mostly Hawaiian songs while a woman close in age to us did the hula to the lyrics. It was definitely not just dancing - it was almost like sign language in dance mode. Picture looking out from our table at dinner last night:

Today we are driving along the eastern coast of Oahu, stopping as we choose. Our ultimate destination in mid-afternoon is the condo in Turtle Bay on the north side where we will be based for the remainder of the month. We will need to shop for provisions so we don't have to eat out all the time. I am looking forward to being in the less commercial areas as opposed to Honolulu.

Have a safe and healthy Saturday!

I love Oahu! I know many people don't like it because of Waikiki, but there is something fun to me about Waikiki and the tourist stuff. I love the Royal Hawaiian and the Moana Surfrider's terrace/bar. Hanauma Bay, Diamond Head, the Zoo... all wonderful! When you are on the north side, just be aware that Haoles aren't welcome in some of the out of the way local hangouts.

It is in the lower 40's today, and I wore a below the knee winter coat to walk on the beach. I felt like a Manhattan, and I choose not to keep hard liquor at home so I'm at the golf club where my condo is, for a yummy one !

I am putting off testing. I don't want to know yet... LOL! If I'm still positive, I'm going to be pretty disappointed. I would like to leave the house and enter the world again. I am also fearful of getting back on a real sleep schedule. COVID messed me up. I'm totally off... sleeping far too late in the morning...

Still have lots of snot and a raw throat and a little bit of gunk in the bronchia. Low energy continues.

I am craving pie... go figure...

Dad's memory clinic appointment went well. We learned that he most likely has mild demential, but his education level is influencing his scores.... He is a single point above the mild dementia criteria level. However, he scored poorly on problem solving. Due to that he is being referred to DMV for a driving test. I'm interested to see how this all pans out. It is hard not being a part of this because of my Covid status.

Going to try to make a dent in the garage today.

Enjoy your lunch CC C!

Kind of in a holding pattern here. Maybe I'm feeling better, but it's hard to say for sure, since I'm taking it way easy. If I actually had to do something like say, grocery shopping, I think it would be very rough. No worries, I don't have to do any chores, so I'll be fine.
