Is it really Tuesday already? On the one hand our 3 weeks at home is too long (too cold and too much downtime because we can't go do our usual stuff). On the other hand, the time to be ready to travel is getting much shorter. Boy I hope we make it out on our scheduled flight.
Today Mike and I are going out to his Cape Cod house on the "Outer" Cape (mine is on the "Upper" Cape). He needs to get some clothing and rake leaves. We might go bowling as well and will probably go out to dinner. Though we usually split what we eat, I am eating more calories than I should. The one bright side is that my weight has stayed the same for the last few months (higher than I like).
Not much else to report - time to break down boxes to recycle and get ready to go to Mike's.
Have a safe and healthy Tuesday!

The days are kind of blurring into each other. My head still feels like it is stuffed with cotton.
Yesterday I finished a book, Olive, Again. Its the sequel to Olive Kitteridge. Really enjoyed them both. In the evening, we watched Spencer. A darling of critics, I did not see the point of it. Kristen Stewart is truly amazing in her portrayal of Princess Diana, but again, the story they told using her prodigious talent seemed pointless.
I'm going to try and do something normal today, like maybe cook an easy meal. We'll see.
Greetings all
Yes indeed, it is Tuesday. I only know because it is scrabble day. My playing was abysmal and I won only one game of three. But these people are killer good.
That was the big outing along with a trip to Target. Not very crowded at all and I scored a couple of 100% cotton sweat shirts. All cotton stuff is getting really hard to find so I am grateful. Looked for an egg poaching pan which seems to now be extinct. The socks shelves were pretty empty and I managed to resist buying junk food and wine (ok one package of mini quiches). Walking around Target is what passes for exercise for me these days.
Steak on the menu tonight. And maybe some broccoli.
Grey and gloomy here but I am glad I am not in the inland snow. 18 feet at Lake Tahoe. Thats one place I have only driven by and would like to see.
House keeper comes tomorrow so time to start shoveling a path.

I had a lovely dinner and movies with my friend last night. Unfortunately i****uated by drunk texting and phone calls from MI guy. I was very firm that I did not want this in my life (the drinking and drunk communication, the ghosting). I felt very strong and had not a shred of doubt I was doing the right thing (nor a shed of feelings left). The only thing I think I could have done better was end the conversation earlier and not get sucked into his circular ramblings. But I was firm and clear (though I don't see him remembering all of it). He basically wants me to be okay with all of his weirdness and my need to not have that in my life doesn't seem to register. Sigh. He cried at one point. On a positive note, I am 0% emotionally invested.
Today I had a birthday lunch with a friend at a very authentic Korean BBQ restaurant. I was totally out of my element (how to use all the condiments and sauces?? And how to get it into your mouth??) and the waitress was no help, so we watched a YouTube video while we waited. Helped somewhat. The food was delicious!
And on the way to the mailbox this afternoon, I ran into a guy and his one year old golden, so I got a ton of puppy kisses and pets in. Heaven! Made my day.
I think that's it, hugs to all!
MI guy obviously has big problems which is probably why he has not been very successful in his career. Can you block him from your phone? I know that used to be possible as I had to do that once years ago.
