Good morning! I'll be leaving for Mass pretty soon, so I thought I'd get us started. After Mass, we'll return to home base, I'll read the paper and do a little laundry. We're meeting some friends in the early evening at a Cuban cafe. I am a black beans and rice fanatic, and the reviews for this restaurant are promising.

Having Friday "off" has given me new energy. I will pay for it Monday, there will be a pile of work to push through, but I'll get it done.

Liz, I hope you got some sleep last night.

Everyone, have a peaceful Sunday.

No sleep, but for a good reason:

Here is the next installment in the Liz/Mike saga. We are basically engaged! After a long talk last night about my recent insecurities and also how he felt we decided we wanted to be married. Apparently he had also been thinking about it. The plan at this point is to hold off on telling anyone until we figure out when and how we want to do this.

So exciting! Now I have some more incentive to drop my extra pounds LOL.

Have a safe and healthy Sunday!

YES! Amazing. Lots of discussion on our 1.5 hour drive home from Mike's daughter's home this morning on where to get married (including an Elvis wedding at Las Vegas which I am pretty sure he was kidding about).

If you do an Elvis wedding in Vegas, I AM THERE! That would be such hoot!

Awesome. And I know you will plan a beautiful and tasteful event but .... Dang, an Elvis wedding :) :)

We had a shortened day on Friday. I stayed for several hours after school was dismissed for the day to get things prepped and ready for the January return. Though, as always, I could have spent several more hours puttering in the classroom, I left feeling overly prepared. I even have two of the three days of sub plans written and materials prepped for my unpaid leave the 5th-7th. It sure is nice to have a feeling of accomplishment going into a school break rather than a subconscious lurking of the knowledge I work left incomplete that should have been done before leaving. I can waltz in on January 3rd ready to go and stress free.

Yesterday was singularly devoted to grooming client dogs - morning and afternoon. Got a massage last night while Ron was at Mass. He has 4 more today. Retired.... Hunh! Grmph..... LOL! I'm a church widow!

Today is day one of Operation Organization. I think I mentioned, I'm doing this in baby steps - no more than 5 things on the to do list at a time (less overwhelming that way). I will report on progress tomorrow. A promise to hold myself accountable.

I slept on and off for 8 hours! Yay me! I did get up for peeing and puppy feeding twice, but promptly went back to sleep.

Liz, CONGRATULATIONS on your fantastic news!

Diane, how are you and Sadie doing? Please let us know. I'm sure your life contains a lot of reflection and wound licking right now. Much love.

Ceci, I am hoping you are still planning to drive over to Indio in January. Fingers crossed.

Happy Sunday (and Monday to Shirl)!
