10 days to Christmas- Wow!

We are about an hour from my Florida place where we will stay tonight prior to flying home tomorrow. The packing and putting away was pretty efficient the last few days but I would be happy not to have to do it in the future. Mike did clean everywhere in preparation for the housekeepers LOL.

Time to pay attention to the GPS. Have a safe and healthy Wednesday!

Bah Humbug! LOL! The crankster was out in full force this morning. Several of my boys decided it was "Let's push Mr. Allens Boundaries Day". Back talk, sass, and accusations of being partial to a specific girl did not go over well and resulted in some rather dumbstruck boys.

I am OVER Ron's clutter in the garage and our shared office. Since his office work space is completely covered in piles of clutter he is using the dining room table as his office. It, too, is becoming cluttered. The garage... well.... it is a chamber of horrors.

Eating.... Not so great yesterday.... Not great today.... It's okay though. To be expected this time of the year. Just gotta get through tomorrow and Friday and the food front will be back to normal.

10 more days until Christmas????? Eek! I'm so NOT ready!

My love loves clutter, and stacking piles of paper, rather than sorting and tossing. He has free reign of some select areas, there is a walk in closet that has boxes floor to ceiling. I don't touch that stuff, but it has to stay contained to the areas I've ceded to him. Invariably it creeps out, but if he doesn't contain it, I unapologetically put it back into one of his designated hoarding areas. I do it fairly quickly, because that stuff multiplies FAST. DH has never seen a clean flat surface that he doesn't want to cover in stuff. Would I prefer to not cede spaces in our already small home to his hoarding? For sure. But I also understand that hoarding is often anxiety driven, and i tread lightly. And he understands it's not based in logic, and he doesn't want to make me miserable, but compulsions are tough. He's willing to meet me halfway, and agree to limit it to certain rooms and closets. And I have certain spots where he can never, ever put anything, like my office, my dresser top, my amoir, and my side of the bathroom vanity. I wi**** wasn't this way, but I want a peaceful life with him more than I want access to the walk in closet.

Greetings all

It cannot be Christmas! I am not ready! I have done nothing!

Went to PT yesterday for das boot foot. I really am not hurting much. Got some exercises prescribed.

Housekeeper brought us some homemade goodies. I ate a bite of the fudge and actually tossed the rest of it (she did not see). Its non dairy fudge made with coconut stuff. Not cool. What is fudge without dairy?

Has anyone seen the Applebee's commercial of chicken nuggets coated with crunched up cheetos? It literally makes me gag. And its served with a Mountain Dew!!! Double gag!!

DH went in for a covid test today since he has colonoscopy friday. Such a big deal. We need to get more interesting lives.

Latest tv is The Shrink Next Door. Funny at first and then disturbing.

Gallery duty here in a bit. Its rainy and windy so probably few customers. I will crank up the heat and the Motown music in that order.

Peps that knee does not look good to me. Whats with the redness? I once got polka dot legs from some antibiotics I was allergic to. Take care.

And ditto DD take care of those tootsies. Nice to have an open shoe in the winter in Minnesota!!

Since its windy there will likely be power outages. Makes me grateful DH is such an electronics nerd and has batteries all charged up.

Speaking of charge, our chevy bolt is under recall for a new battery. A few have caught fire. So the Chevrolet "concierge" called us to talk aboutt the battery replacement. It will be awhile. We love the car. I am really sold on electric car concept.

Take care all.

I'm having a colonoscopy in January, and they are also requiring the brain poking Covid test. I so don't want to add one more "thing to take care of" to my schedule, I considered canceling the colonoscopy. But then I remembered: cancer. Screenings are important.

The weather here is wild!!! It's was 57 degrees today. The snow is melting and creating a fog so dense it looked like a curtain in the window. There are tornado warnings for Southern Minnesota. The latest there has ever been a tornado in this area is November. The temp is going to drop to 20 degrees by morning, with 70 mile winds and a possible ice storm. We're all charging our phones, we have logs for the fireplace just in case.

Christmas, I'm feeling bah humbug too. The best Christmas I've had since I was a kid was a couple years ago when we ran away to Florida. I woke up Christmas morning, and took my coffee out to a pool lounge chair, while I waited for the rest of my family to wake up. I was so, so happy. Its not like I have to do so much for Christmas, DH does a lot of the shopping and wrapping. But I just don't want to have to worry about the planning, cleaning, grocery shopping, cooking. But I also don't know quite yet how to retire from Christmas Pageant Director. And now it involves bringing most of the meal to my parents house, because they're not really up to cooking much. Mostly I just try to think about the liberation that comes on December 26, in the evening, when I let everyone know that I am off the clock. Then my Christmas break begins.

We're having our staff potluck tomorrow. So far there has not been an overload of treats, so I haven't had to deal with a lot of temptation at work. And yet I still find some unplanned carbs get consumed each day.
